"I went on the free walking tour with Susan today and learned lots about Hawaii‘s history! Susan had a lot of knowledge and a good selection of stories. It wasn‘t too much or too little and the way she was telling us about it, I feel like I actually remember everything she told us. I would highly recommend joining the tour with Susan! I just went on my own, had a lovely morning and know a lot about Hawaii now. Thank you!"
"This review is long overdue. We went on the off the beaten path tour of Chinatown with Victor during our summer vacation. Our family included grandparents and my 2 teens (12yo daughter and 14yo son). We went on this tour at the beginning of our vacation to get some great recommendations on area vendors and food. It was lots of great food, and we had leftovers to take home. Those leftovers didn’t last long! Victor was kind enough to bring a cooler for us to use for the food. We sampled many familiar foods and some new foods as well: lumpia, sushi (great high quality fish), roasted duck/pork, and even fertilized duck egg. Victor was very good about offering up foods and taking requests. You don’t have to eat anything you don’t feel comfortable with. It was great tour into Old Chinatown and history of Honolulu through food. Everyone in the family enjoyed the tour and felt it was one of the favorite things we did while on vacation (even more than swimming with sharks and surfing)! I recommend this tour to anyone who loves food adventure and loves to eat. You will not be disappointed! The walking was not difficult and even helpful to burn off some calories to see some of the sights around Chinatown."
"Did the Off the Beaten Path Food Tour with Victor today, and it was excellent! He has really cultivated an incredible tour of Chinatown with some of the best mom & pop food stands. Everything we had was delicious. There were so many things to try, and we also got to take home leftovers. He was a terrific tour guide and we really enjoyed the entire tour. I've been living in Waikiki for 8 months and discovered so many great new spots today. Thank you, Victor!"
"We did the “off the beaten track” food tour. Best food tour we’ve ever been on. Seriously come hungry, you get so much food we actually had a couple bags of leftovers after being stuffed. Besides just the food, Victor gave us tons of great knowledge as well and it was great to see a different area of Honolulu besides Waikiki. For how much you get it was a fantastic value."
"Spent the morning with a free tour with Susan who was a wonderful guide sharing the layers of peoples that make up the history and evolution of Hawaii. She was knowledgeable and had great stories to share of how unique Hawaiian culture evolved and how it has had a renaissance of pride in its unique indigenous origins. Well done. Remember it's a free tour but well worth a generous tip."
