"My wife and I went on the sunset manta ray snorkeling trip with our 8 and 6 year old kids this past week. The crew were very friendly and knowledgeable and ran a safe operation. We were fortunate and had multiple rays come up to within inches of us during our time in the water. They have a frame with lights to attract the rays that Alexandra maneuvers and all you have to do is hold on to the frame, so just about anyone can do it. Our 6 year old got a bit scared and wanted to get out after a few minutes, and they were great in dealing with that. It was an incredible experience, and something we would definitely do again on a subsequent trip to Hawaii, and I wouldn't hesitate to use Wahine Charters. The customer service was great. We booked through our hotel's concierge on short notice, but they communicated very well and we were able to get the trip arranged without difficulty. It was a great experience all around."

"I experienced this activity when I went to the big island as a tourist. I wanted to experience this at least once in my lifetime, and it was damn great. The tour started at 5pm and you can see the beautiful sunset from the boat. The sunset from the sea is exceptional. After arriving at the destination, we went into the ocean and started manta watching. We were able to see manta rays that were much bigger than expected. It was so big and powerful that it looked like it could eat us, which was a little scary haha It was a great experience to see so many manta rays up close. The staff was very friendly and helpful, so I would feel safe no matter who you go with. If you go to the Big Island of Hawaii, you should definitely go there."
