"1000% recommend. Captain Ko and his mate Jordan treated us to a phenomenal morning. If you have the means and don't mind a smaller vessel, I would highly suggest booking this private option over the larger group tours. They were extremely respectful, helpful, engaging and every other superlative that you can imagine. I am certain that Ko's patience and knowledge put us in the vicinity of whales that other boats did not see. I know this, because there were few or no boats around when we had our best viewing. For a group of 4 or 6 his pricing is only marginally more than other group charters. Well worth it for the 'private' experience. Safety was never a concern and Ko remained flexible with scheduling to avoid potential winds."

"Had a wonderful morning private charter with Captain Ko and Jordan. Could not have asked for a better experience. Had a great snorkel at Kealakekua Bay and a lovely fruit platter after we got back on the lovely boat. We were lucky enough to see a few pods of dolphins. "Our family did the private morning charter with Captain Ko and Avery and loved it! This tour was my (teenage) daughter’s favorite part of our trip to Hawaii. I chose Aloha Kona Tours when trying to find a snorkeling tour. We have been on group snorkeling tours in Hawaii in the past, and I thought it would be nice to have a private tour. I was right! Captain Ko and Avery reminded us when we met them that this was a charter just for us so we could choose whatever we wanted to do and wherever we wanted to go. The boat was new, clean and very comfortable with plenty of room. They provided drinks and snacks and even a cheese, cracker, salami and fruit board for us after snorkeling. I was not sure if my kids would be board with the boat trip back and forth from the snorkeling area, but that was not the case! Captain Ko showed us many sites along the way and Avery talked to us about all things Hawaiian, including Hawaiian history. But unexpectedly for me, they were able to find dolphins who were swimming all around our boat! They told us they can find whales many times too. They also showed us huge, amazing rock formations as we drove back and forth along the coast. My kids even did some cliff jumping with Avery! The snorkeling was, of course, awesome. Avery snorkeled with us as a guide in the water, and we got to see octopus and she showed us sea cucumber, in addition to the beautiful reef and abundance of fish. Both Captain Ko and Avery were very personable, making sure we were enjoying every moment. I highly recommend this company."

"Kris was an awesome tourguide - we had an incredible day. He clearly cares deeply for the oceanlife and knows the island super well, his energy was so great to be with! Great attention to detail but also chill - some snacks & drinks provided, and a cool towel at the end :). The trip with him, swimming with the dolphins, was the best thing I did in my two weeks on the island! Cannot recommend more!!!"
