"We saw fish that I have only seen while scuba diving from the comfort of our boat. The coral was amazing. But maybe even better than the fish was the presentation and all the great information we got from the guide. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I highly recommend it."
"I recommend the Glassbottom Boat. Not really glass bottom as much as viewing area's in the boat, but it's great. I'm a local and took family with small kids. It offers a view like one my get scuba diving or snorkeling. Lots of fish, coral and coastline views."
"Absolutely one of the coolest experiences I have ever been on. From an amazing guide that is active during the trip to the quality of the trip itself: this is a worthwhile experience. Amy (our guide during the trip) was cracking jokes while educating us and showing all the truly amazing things we could see. She seemed to have a lot of fun doing this and sharing her joy of the area with us. The locations we got to see were even more amazing. The boat captain and crew knew the fun spots to check out. Tang, dolphins, coral, urchins, and so much more. Go into it knowing you aren't going to get super-clear pictures through the boat (glare is real, and that's totally normal and okay!) be in the moment, and have a ton of fun!"
"The Kona Glassbottom Boat tour was awesome. The crew was friendly and Amy was a great host, pointing out the fish as they swam under the boat. We learned a lot! This was a fun excursion that I would definitely recommend."
"Perfect add on to our trip. The team was very knowledgeable in the various fish and in local history and stories. If you are unable to snorkel for whatever reason, this is an excellent replacement as the view is very similar. I am very prone to motion sickness yet the hints given of when to look in the horizon while moving spot to spot was helpful and I had no motion sickness. Ginger items were also available free (which so help!). We had a bonus of seeing dolphins and the boat captain adapted for great photos. This is a fun and interesting experience which would be good for old and young travelers."
