The Diamond Head Visitor Center, located in Honolulu, Hawaii, is a popular park and tourist attraction known for its historic hiking trail, stunning coastal views, and military history. The center offers information and services for visitors to explore the Diamond Head State Monument, which encompasses over 475 acres including the interior and outer slopes of the crater. The trail to the summit of Diamond Head was built in 1908 and offers a steep and strenuous hike with breathtaking views of the shoreline. Visitors can explore bunkers, a navigational lighthouse, and a Fire Control Station completed in 1911 at the summit. The park facilities on the crater floor are fully accessible to those with disabilities, but the hiking trail to the summit is not ADA accessible. Entry and parking reservations are required for non-residents, and pets are not allowed in the park except for service animals. The Diamond Head Visitor Center also offers audio tours, merchandise for purchase, and a docent program for volunteers. The State of Hawai‘i Department of Land and Natural Resources is proposing improvements to enhance the visitor experience at Diamond Head State Monument.

Reviews
"If you haven’t gone yet… I recommend going but as early as you can manage. It’ll be less crowded. The $5 entrance fee was easy to get online."
"Great view, the hike wasn’t as bad as I thought. 30 minutes to get up and about 20 minutes to come back down."
"This has great views! It’s not too tough, lots of elevation gain but it’s spread out so it’s not too steep at any spot- UNTIL you get to the staircase- just know, you do not have to continue up the staircase. If you choose to, the view up top is 360 and gorgeous. On a clear day you can see other islands in the distance etc. so cool. There are spots to sit and rest if you need a break but no water stops or restrooms so take care of your business ahead of time. Go enjoy the crater!!"
"Moderate hike with great views. Must do if you can. Get reservations. Was a quick walk for me that required 1 rest after the big incline through the tunnel. Take water and sunscreen. Excellent views to Oahu not to be missed. Terrain starts with inclined asphalt and transitions to raw flagstone, then to galvanised metal stairs, inclined rock and asphalt. Would suggest shoes with support, i accomplished it with leather boatshoes but that was because i have pretty firm ankles and legs that can take some hiking."
"Not for ‘beginners’ it’s rigorous but with a great path. Super crowded at the 6-8am time slot but the view of sunrise is worth it. We had a full moon going down as well so doubly blessed!"
