"Worth the view at the end. The first 2 miles are a mix of slippery and muddy terrain without any view. The last mile is enjoyable and ends with a fantastic view. The hike is easy by alpine hiking standards and can be done within 3 hours if you are experienced and in shape. But since we are not in the alps I give it a moderate difficulty. 3 stars for the first 2 miles and 5 for the last mile."

"This was a great hike. Going up was fun, but there were tight spots to go through. Meaning, pushing through trees and bushes. Going up wasn't tough. However, there was a lot of terrain to go through. Got to the top, had a sandwich for lunch, and viewed the gorgeous views. I struggled going down. Nobody else in my group did, though. But beautiful!!!!"

"This trail is extremely difficult, ok maintained, but muddy, hard to traverse and not for those prone to injuries, not in good (not mediocre) physical condition or children. The payoff is an incredible view of the napali coast on a clear day. The trek there is muddy on a dry day, hikes through the jungle, up and down muddy paths, through overgrown paths and over narrow ridges on the coast line. Epic hike, not for a novice hiker."

"Beautiful views toward the end of the trail were worth all the effort!! We hiked to the Vista point and back to the parking lot (just under 8miles round trip) in less than 4.5 hours. We took previous hikers advice and brought plenty of water and snacks. I never saw a waterfall like other viewers mentioned. We loved the variety of vegitation and the changing terrain as we changed altitude. I would highly recommend this hike!!"
