"This historic park presents a picture of the ancient Hawaiian living place. The lava rocks surrounded the cave where they lived, and the ocean is not far from the cave. When you enter the small cave, you could feel and imagine how they lived here before. If you travel with the kids, they could learn a totally different life style of them compared to modern life. I would recommend any family travelers. The rest room is at the parking lots."
"Such a beautiful park! Great place to catch an amazing sunset. Wish I lived close enough to walk through there every day and enjoy the serenity and beauty the park has to offer. I fell in love instantly."
"While crammed away inside a resort, this park is filled with lava tube caves! Tread lightly.... we saw and explored 8 of them. Some are very tight. Wear gear if yiu go into anything but the large one. The rock here is very sharp."
"The views in this park are so stunning. Get yourself ready for a dip in a nice calm beach. No waves here, the beach is located behind a hill and it’s very calm and super chill. There’s grass at the beach too and overall just above and beyond experience."
"This place is a little gem! Gorgeous views at all parts of the journey. If you like lava fields and lava tubes this is a place for you. Not into those but would rather enjoy time close to water. With the ocean and fish ponds this place doesn't let you down. A great place to spend the afternoon. Beach access is also available for those who want to spend time at the ocean. Highly recommend visiting this place if you are on the Big Island of Hawaii."
