"We’ve been with Dr. Ninomiya for almost 16 years. All four of our children see him and we’ve been satisfied with his care throughout the years. His office location and parking is wonderful. His team is friendly and treat patients with kindness. We really recommend Dr. Ninomiya."
"My son has asthma and I called explaining that the school keeps sending him home due to his coughing and chest tightness, they said he needed to see a Dr for it and bring them back a note. When I showed up for his appointment they said that he can not come in because he is coughing. Made no sense and was a waste of time."
"We no longer use Dr. Ninomiya because we’ve moved out of state but had we still lived in Hawaii we would’ve certainly continued to use him as our pediatrician for both our toddlers. When we were searching for pediatricians when I was pregnant with my first I was hesitant to use him as well because of the mixed reviews. I did a quick in person interview with him and was put more at ease. The wait times are short and it’s actually a very efficient practice because appointments are seen in the morning and same day appointments are squeezed in the afternoon after 2p if there’s availability. Sometimes it means you can’t be seen the same day but they try to squeeze you in the following day or recommend you go to urgent care if it’s a true emergency. First of all I think his staff might be new so the past reviews aren’t applicable. I say this because Tiani and Karen are amazing. Tiani at the front desk is always courteous to us and is very accommodating. Karen is efficient and is delicate with our kids. Dr. Ninomiya is a superb at what he does because he reads all his notes and comes prepared to all our appointments so I don’t have to repeat myself. He seems to remember every single detail of our kids last visits with him and other doctors. Love that about him. He’s also very encouraging and kind. As a first time mom I was struggling with breast feeding and self image and he told me to take it easy, be kind to myself, and always told me what a good job I’m doing because the kids were healthy. Another thing that makes him a good pediatrician is that he is upfront and very factual. My husband likes that about him. We’ve struggled to find a remarkable pediatrician and practice since we left HI. Miss them."
"Disappointed on our initial visit. Being super new and having a sick child we were not informed on all the paperwork needed to have when I arrived to office. Filling out new forms and then being ushered back to wait on the doctor the nurse asked personal questions and then informed us on our responses we could not be seen without certain paperwork and documents. I understand needing necessary paperwork but the dissapointment comes from being blatantly lied to from the nurse who repeatedly told me that when appt was set up she told my husband it was required and my husband was not told this at all. The personal information was not enclosed at the time of appointment because it wasn’t required and wasn’t even thought of or even needed to explain so it was not known. We were then told to go to the front office to reschedule went to do so and then again was denied by same nurse (making it super confusing) until we actually had paperwork turned in before we could even make an appointment. Having two sick children under the age of 4 it was discouraging and disappointing because of the effort to get them there and wait to be seen added to the stress of being in a new place. Just all around disappointed."
"Love Love Love Dr. Ninomiya and his staff. Having a 25 weeker he did a great job caring for her. Always followed up when she was very sick. He also recommends the best doctors for her other care needs. He takes the time to know my 3 girls. I never feel rushed when I'm there and know that they're in good hands. =)"
