"Okay so here's the thing - if you make it down there, the waterfall is STUNNING. The water is so nice and fresh and it's really nice to go for a little swim after making it through the hike. With that being said, this is the most difficult hike I've ever been on, and I'm still trying to figure out if that's a good or bad thing. I'm very physically fit and hike often. But the hike was kind of annoyingly hard, but maybe I'm just being a baby. Obviously there's not much that can be done about having to navigate a VERY steep climb to get down to a waterfall. But here's the thing that REALLY pissed me off, that I think they can definitely fix! When you arrive, there's a small waterfall with a creek that goes pretty deep. There's a rope above that lets you jump in - very fun! However, the BIG waterfall which is the one that everyone sees in the pictures, is much higher and behind the small one, and the only way to get there is to climb a 5-6 foot rope that hangs against a rock. You also have to kick and stay afloat to keep yourself up while grabbing the rope since there's no stable ground beneath you. My parents are 61 & 71 and in incredible shape, but they were so wiped by the end they weren't able to make it. My dad is also 6'4" so much harder for him to pull himself up, and my mom isn't a great swimmer, so trying to climb with nothing but water beneath her was pretty close to impossible. Again - MAYBE I'm being a baby and the point is to simply let nature be nature, but I wish they could have at LEAST added some sort of steps to balance on while using the rope to support your body weight. Just one girl's opinion! I wish I could have taken some pics of the big waterfall but again, you had to swim to the rope. Really stunning though! I added a picture of the little waterfall where you can see the ropes. Sadly you can't see the bigger waterfall from the angle."
"Worth the hike! Amazing forest, breathtaking waterfall, drive into the park was eventful. Food at the cafe was delicious! And a peacock to entertain us."
"To get to the waterfall, you're going to have to get through a lot of mud and a bit of rocks. The hike is challenging gut rewarding. There is some litter in the lower basin, so please help by taking all trash with you"
"What a fantastic experience. I've done it twice and I honestly would do it again. It's a challenging hike but it's definitely worth it. It can be very muddy so definitely bring shoes with grip. Check the weather so that you know how rainy it's been in the area. One time I did it and I was covered in mud and the other time it was barely muddy. The waterfall at the end is worthwhile. Bring a swimsuit so you can take a nice little dip. If you can come on the week day, I recommend it. Way more busy when I came on the weekend"
"Great hike to a hidden waterfall with not too many people. Hike takes about 15min straight forward to the sign where the trail and the "walk" to the waterfall splits. From there on you need approximately 50min to the waterfall. (Always take the turns to the left. If you are lucky you find some pink markers in the trees to follow) Would recommend good shoes with a profile. Especially if it rained the days before it gets slippery and dirty. At the waterfall you will have 3 pools to "swim" in. Some ropes to jump in as well. Nice place and not too crowded. Definitely worth it, even if the way back will be sweaty. ;) Average hike for average people."
