"Apparently they were "locked out" of their website during Covid and can't figure out ANY way to get the correct info available to the public, so I'll help them out by posting it here. The shared rooms are $75/person/night, not $30. Response to owner's reply: I don't have to come over, as I live here. I just needed a safe place for a couple nights while waiting for my new place. But the point is, there are SO many ways you could make accurate information available. To leave such wildly inaccurate prices as the only information available online, and then justify it as if you can't do anything about it, is deceptive. If you are confident in your pricing, great! Make your REAL prices available online."

"Just reopening now this hostel is an amazing option if you are easy going and want a place to rest your head and see beauty Kauai. The staff was super, the location is awesome and nearby tons of great food! We got the ocean view room and bed was comfy with clean new sheets given. Bring your own towels. Kitchen upstairs and plenty of space to hang out. Clean bathrooms! You’re in hawaii and it’s on the beach with a lot of open windows so fyi critters may be about but they are harmless. "I stayed here on and off for about 2 weeks. My first impressions were quite positive. I loved the random layout and how open all the rooms were, the rooftop terrace, the proximity to the ocean and city center. Most of the staff was super chill. About 10-15 staff here doing work trades. Felt like there was always drama or people talking behind backs, but in a way it made the place more interesting. Cleanliness wasn’t bad to be honest. I’m not too picky about these things anyways. The facilities were old and sometimes malfunctioning, but nothing major. The kitchen was at once an amazing place to share, filled with all kinds of ingredients, but also the wild west; groceries disappearing within minutes of being gone. On my last night I wasn’t able to stay because it was fully booked and so I went camping. Around 4:30am it started to pour outside so I got shelter in the hostel’s common area. The next morning, I was welcomed by Ron’s lovely sister screaming about calling the cops if we did not pay a full night at the instant. Such lovely customer service on her part. Also pro tip: Ron, one of the managers, is also a park ranger and is super chill about letting people do the Kalalau trek without a permit. Highly recommend, I spent a week out there and had a blast."
