"located on the water with beautiful sunrises. In the center of historic Kapa'a so food and shops are within walking distance. Lots of amenities at the resort with things to do. My only complaint was the couch and chairs were broken down and not comfortable to sit on. Other than that, it was great."
"Had a renovated room with ocean view, hence the good rating. Very nice room, quiet place and well manicured grounds. Great ocean access and fun little games and amenities on the grounds."
"Beautiful resort with pool, rec center, putt putt golf, bocce ball, hammocks, and grills. Amazing sunrises, and easy access to the beach. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Staff was super nice and friendly. The room was clean. Coin-operated washer/dryer."
"Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. Condo was very nice. We had an upstairs condo with a bedroom on the on the top floor and a big bedroom on a loft. Stairs were fairly steep to get to this room, but extremely nice. The grounds are kept up very nicely. If you want to have a conversation with the guests, the jacuzzi is the place to be. They have all the games from from ping-pong to tennis to horseshoes and many more. The beach is a one minute walk even from the furthest condo. There is also a 5 mile jogging or biking trail since the surf was high. There is a beach to the right of this condo over the bridge that has a small break line and it forms kind of a tidal pool. That is safe for kids. And we took our eight-year-old there and she was able to play with other kids. There’s a small drawback is that there are on this individual’s that do sleep. They are the restrooms of the jogging trail or the bridges. They never bothered us or anyone else that I saw. When making a left onto the highway out of this resort, there’s a blind spot so be careful."
"The resort is right on the beach for many of the units and there is a walkway going all the way from south of the resort to the large beach north of Kapa'a. The rooms gave no privacy as I could hear every footstep of my upstairs neighbors and there were always people walking by looking into our unit if the shades were open. One of the units we had didn't have functional AC units so they installed portable window units and 3 loud fans that had to run all the time to circulate are in order to keep the unit cool. For some reason, we had two functional microwaves in our unit and we had to get maintenance to plug in all the major appliances as they were all unplugged for "energy saving" they claimed. The final issue with the room was that the beds are horribly firm. They were better than sleeping on the ground, but not by much. The resort itself is right in downtown Kapa'a/Wailua area and while the proximity to the shops was nice for like a day or two, the constant gridlocked traffic and unstopping stream of tourists got very wearing. Every store was packed for most of the day and it was hard, even in our rooms to feel like we could get away. Maybe part of that is our aversion to heavily touristy areas but we will not be choosing anything like this resort ever again. And for the money, you could get a private beach house just a little bit away. Lastly, the front desk staff at the resort were unhelpful and downright dismissive most of the time. We even got locked out of our rooms halfway through our stay because the person who issued our room cards didn't set them for the correct time period."
