"I am shocked at what a scam artist this doctor is. My initial appointment was 1 hour "evaluation" and cost 500 dollars. Totally fine, because I was expecting her guidance to be helpful and am willing to do whatever is needed. For an hour she told me working out and eating a healthier diet would help my adhd. Sure, I listened and agreed. I live a very healhy life and then she told me the fact that I have attention issues might be because I drink too much water. Okay sure, I guess I can think about that moving forward. Three months later and none of her guidance has worked and I am so frustrated. So I call and schedule a phone appointment to see if I can adjust anything or maybe get new meds. She tells me I have to pay her $200 dollars!!! I am livid. I spent 500 dollars on nothing. She is the worst doctor I have ever been to. I cant stress this enough, nothing she said was helpful. And now she wants more money?! No wonder she doesn't take insurance! All she needs to do is keep stringing patients along and charging 200 dollars for 15 minute phone calls and a 500 dollar evaluation. Please trust me and DO NOT come here. I am filing a full report and investigation against her and hope she doesn't get away with her scam business anymore."

"She completely overmedicated my child. Gave him 8 diagnosis and wanted to prescribe 8 different meds. One per diagnosis. I refused that many (wish I had refused them ALL) and she chastised me like I was a child. I wish I had never listened to her. I wish i had done my own research and never had full faith in her ability to prescribe the right things she gave my son. It led to a suicide attempt and hospitalization. The doctors at the hospital could not believe what she had him on and took him off of all but one. Our average wait time for an appointment was an ALL day event. We waited SIX to EIGHT hours. Please parents, please question everything. Do your research. Dont let her talk down to you and try to convince you you're hurting your child by not giving him all those meds. I URGE you all to seek out another dr."

"I had been seeing another psychiatrist for 2 years and was up to 7 medications and felt horrible. Dr. Cruey gives me more than 20 minutes max and she really cares. This doctor converses with me and give me as much time as I need. I finally have an accurate diagnosis and now and I am down to only 3 main medications. I feel better than I have ever felt and it all thanks to Dr. Cruey."

"This Dr takes straight medicade with a place called balance mind center she test your brainwaves and also deals with brain traumas, like an accident. She is very loved in the clark county school system. She also has kicked children servces to the curb . She is well known in Las Vegas she is a very caring Dr she will listen and help you with health needs. She saved lives from meany walks of life. She is wonderful with adults. She is always booked because she is well respected . She always will refer others to what they need out of a doctor if what you need is not her specialty. She is a very sweet lady and a good hearted person so if you think I'm sorry to inform you so you don't know who she is."

"I cannot believe this woman is still practicing. When I was 12 (now 30) my parents took me to her for help. She diagnosed me as Bipolar and started me on seven medications. I was an absolute zombie, I couldn't function. Even at that time there were studies that Wellbutrin caused suicidal thoughts (along with several of my other meds in children) and my mom discussed these concerns Karen Cruey, only to be told it was fine and I'd adjust. Well, I had a mental breakdown and was even worse on all 7. She kept upping doses and soon I couldnt attend middle school because I couldnt eveb dress myself or form a coherent thought. I was a larger child, due to thyroid disease. This lady was *obsessed* with weighing me and telling my parents to help their child lose weight - not her business or area of expertise. She also insisted every time I come in, to embarrass me by making me take my clothes or pull them up to show her my self harm. I always told her what was going on, but she was invading my very personal space. Lastly, I came down with a pneumonia & a 103 temp. My mom was so afraid of me missing my appt. that she drove to the office on the way back from the hospital, to let my doctor know what was happening. She was called a bad mother by this lady. We went back one final time after I had gotten over the pneumonia. My mother expressed great concern about my muscle movement and the way the medication made me like a vegetable. She told the doctor she wanted me to feel better but now I was just ..gone. The "doctor" berated my mother once again and told her if I wasnt going to take everything she prescribed to not come back. I was so relieved. I have had three psychiatrists since whom Ive all felt great about, but at some point each doctor retired. Anytime my mother, family or I speak to my current psych or any doctor about her treatment plan for me at 12 and what she put us through, they are truly baffled by her incompetence. My mother worked in UHS hospital for over 20 years in psych. We never heard one solid thing about that woman or her as a doctor. I know it's been many years since I've been there but every time I see her name somewhere I cringe and think of the patients she's over-medicating and not listening to. About how she abuses her power. I really hope this helps someone. There are fantastic psychs here in Nevada. Karen Cruey is not one of them."
