"So I scheduled my follow up appointment for diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound, and appointment with provider I believe was Mary Esele. So I check in for my appointment, sign all paperwork, sit down and see I now have 2 voicemails that just came in. I listen and it says that the provider I was scheduled to see called out. So only imaging would be done? So I go up to the girl who checked me in and tell her about the message but why didn’t she say anything? The excuse was that she was informed that all patients were notified? And that I would get a phone call for the results? Ummmm my response was so how is a breast exam done over the phone? The reply was ? So my next question was, so who made the decision that for this visit it was ok to just call with results? Shouldn’t that be the patients decision? And why would the checkin person not say anything about the appointment changing when she checked me in? So for me working in the medical field this is EXACTLY how patients fall through the cracks. If there is a system in the way things are performed when there is a change (like someone calling out) everyone should be notified of such ESPECIALLY the patient! And really the decision on the appointment should be made by the patient. And the options for the change given to her the patient so she can make the decision that suits her. Not a voicemail that A. Doesn’t solve the problem, and upon checking in NOTHING is mentioned not even asked did you receive the message about your appointment? The patient should be asked if she received the message? And here are your options! Then when it is called upon the poor excuse was given i was informed that patients were notified! Well irregardless if they were notified you have the patient right there, shouldn’t she be given the options? Well that NEEDS TO CHANGE! You don’t just drop the ball! Update will be given AFTER I speak with the person who runs the place. UPDATE: I was seen by another provider that day. And today I received a phone call from Mary Esele PA the provider herself. Apologizing for what took place. But as I stated previously Providers are human just like their patients, and nowhere would I think that it is the providers responsibility to notify the patients of her absence. That’s what the office staff is paid for, to take care of schedules, billing and the overall function of the office itself. But I am happy to say that what I brought to their attention is a concern. And overall from the beginning of being a patient there I have been confident enough to continue on as a patient for many years. But this is through my own experiences and my own opinion. I am a firm believer that patients are their own advocate you have to speak up when you feel something isn’t right, because that is the only way they are aware if something needs fixing. "Dr Salamat and his nursing team, Gail and Laura, are nothing short of miraculous. Dr Salamat gave me hope during a hopeless time. He is a rare gem among doctors, someone who genuinely cares about his patients and their well-being. Gail and Laura were always there for me, providing clear directions on the next steps in my treatment. They went above and beyond their job duties as nurses. I can honestly say I don't know what I would've done without this team. I am forever grateful. Highly recommended!"
"I saw Ron Ganzon PA for my high risk breast care appointment. First off the ladies at the front desk were kind and super helpful. His MA Nataly did a great job getting me roomed and my vitals taken. Ron made me feel very comfortable and he was very knowledgeable in regards to my care. Super happy with everyone and the care I received. I highly recommend this place."
"Very, very, VERY difficult to get the right person on the phone for a mammogram. I had a few attempts where I was left on phone waiting for 30-45 minutes. You MUST have time to be bounced around and extreme patience. I had myself plus two different doctor’s offices trying to get me in STAT. Once I broke through that barrier, however, the staff was kind and called me back with a stat appointment. There was a little confusion when I arrived as to what tests I needed, but it was not their fault and they were able to get me seen and taken care of—for which I am extremely grateful. Be early for your appointment and expect to be there about 3 hours."
