"A couple of months ago (2021) I had my first telehealth appointment here. Without first knowing some basic things about me (type of work I do, my home life, etc.) one of therapist had me reading multiple pages of literature aloud and then towards the end of the session assigned literal homework (essay) for me to complete for the next appointment. It's not that I'm opposed to anything that maybe helpful. It's the fact that she neglected to take the the time out and find out that I work nights and had not be to sleep ye going into that session. 90% of my work shift is reading and writing meeting deadlines for 8-12 hours. I doubt she even considered reading several pages of literature during a therapy season I'm paying for isn't all that therapeutic as may have thought. Had she taken the time to know her clients basic background first maybe an alternative method could've been used. But, I think you have to actually care for your work and the patient first to ever consider the error. I got off the Telehealth video call more frustrated and discouraged than before. throughout my years of seeing a therapist, I've never had such a session where . Idk what's up with the behavioral health system out here in Las Vegas but it's hard to find a good therapist that's self-conscious and doesn't treat all their patience with such a broad brush."
"Your therapy experience will always depend on your therapist. To be totally honest, three out of fivd of the therapists I met with were the worst I’ve ever had. Some of the most qualified therapists were ridiculously unprofessional, broke the confidential code and related everything to themselves. However, my therapist for nearly two years, Sophie, was absolutely amazing. She led to so much growth, she’s a truly intelligent and helpful person. Good therapists are hard to find. Unfortunately, she left :( Regardless, please keep in mind therapists are very subjective!! It often depends on what YOU’RE looking for in a therapist. There are plenty of objective terrible ones, here and everywhere."
"There has to be better care in Las Vegas than places like this! If you want to go in for mental help and come out a few months feeling even worse, than this is your place. It takes a lot of courage and trust to reach out for therapy/mental health services so please look elsewhere for that care. Receptionists are condescending and man they want your co-payment before you even have a chance to sign in. I went for an intake, that person became my therapist and it started out ok/tried to be hopeful however it soon became apparent that the person only wanted to talk about them. The therapist spoke more about their interests, didn't have much emotion or empathy, nodded/interjected their opinion while I was in the middle of speaking or feeling/expressing deep emotions. They introduced me to EMDR therapy however they were just learning the process so it was sporadic and I felt like they were just winging it/I was a test subject. Then all of a sudden that just stopped, not sure why and then that's when I got to hear all about their interests, hobbies, history, etc until the clock ran out and it was time for the sessions to end. Then to switch therapists is a nightmare at this place because you will have to deal with the front desk staff. Just stay away...you and your mental health deserve better!"
"They are super friendly. Intake appointment was available the same week I initially called. Therapy appointments are available in-person and via telehealth and they're great about sending text reminders."
"Darlene is an amazing person. Spent a year talking to her and she slowly worked thru my issues to find an underlying problem that needed medication. Always pleasant and listens well to my thoughts and issues. The office staff has always been nice to me also."
