"I discovered Dr. Turner through research and thankfully I did. I had suffered immensely with nonstop health issues and numerous tests immunologists, cardiologists, primary care, ER visits. Just so many doctors.They were all off. To make a long story short, Dr. Turner found something abnormal on my first visit which led to my cancer diagnosis and over 4 years later I am still in remission. He was there nearly every day during my nearly 4 week hospital stay, made sure I was given the best of care and that I followed certain instructions to limit my time there/heal. I continue to see him for my regular visits and he's always there to get me the assistance I need. "Dr. Turner saved my life twice. Once when l had bleeding fibroids and 750 cc of blood in my abdomen. He preformed a total hysterectomy, bso and appt. They were negative for cancer. Almost 2yrs later I had a small painful what I was told was a cyst on my vagina. It kept getting worse. My female ob/gyn did not know how to treat it. I went to Dr. Turner. He did not hurt me. He did the exam under anaesthesia and preformed a biopsy. It was cancer- stage 4. He explained everything in detail. He have me all my options. He preformed 2 surgeries and came up with a 5 year plan. I see him every 3-4 months for follow up appointments. He listens to me. I wouldn't me here without him and his staff. They fax forms to the insurance company and to my work. They were so helpful. I love him and his staff."

"I have seen Dr. Turner twice now, and was very disappointed with my experience to say the least. He is not a detail oriented person, did not listen to the information I provided, dismissed my concerns and did not pay attention to my medical history. He was fairly professional (although a dry and inappropriate sense of humor), staff is pleasant, and office clean. These things DO NOT keep high risk patients like me alive! He was very high-pressure to do a hysterectomy, although not medically necessary, insisting that a tubal and ablation may not be successful, and he could "only guarantee success if (my) uterus is in a lab". I was seeing him to discuss pregnancy prevention options. We made this heart-wrenching decision because two years of fertility treatment were unsuccessful, and with my medical condition an unplanned pregnancy was unacceptable to me (to this news, Dr. Turner joked that it was my OB's failure that I didn't get pregnant- not very compassionate! I sobbed the entire way home). I have APS, and had a stroke after the birth of our son, and have had life-threatening complications with nearly every surgery I have had - even with extreme care and every possible precaution taken. Upon asking him if he felt comfortable coordinating my care with my hematologist, he made reference to her gender and religion. On my first visit I brought my girlfriend and my husband, and introduced them as such and was upfront that we have a poly relationship; yet he wrote in the letter to my pcp, hematologist, and the breast specialist he was referring me to that I was accompanied by my "daughter" (she is just a few years my junior). He also wrote in this letter that vasectomy for my husband wasn't a viable option because my being in a poly relationship did not preclude me from pregnancy - DESPITE the fact that I had clarified that I only have relations with my husband, and the reason for him not to have a vasectomy was because our partner desired children in the future. This letter went to other physicians and in my medical record, although I requested it be changed three times, the final letter still included this ERRONEOUS information (is my relationship status medically relevant outside of OBGYN???). He seemed impatient and brushed aside the topic each time I wanted to discuss the precautions he would take to reduce the risks due to my autoimmune and clotting disorder. With a patient like me, at risk for CAPS, most surgeons focus on liability, safety and insist on the least invasive measures we can possibly manage. My safety should be the primary concern. If I cannot trust him to get the little things correct, can I trust him to cut on me? I just cannot bring myself to put my life in this man's hands."
