"Dr Abberman delivered my first baby. It was 13-years ago, but if I could go back in time he would not have attended that birth. During Prenatal visits his attention wasn’t fully on me. He engaged in conversations with my husband about sports, etc. On my last visit before my baby was born despite me communicating my wishes to wait for my daughter to be born when she was ready, Dr Abberman was pushing an induction. “Let’s just check where you are.” said Abberman, asking to do a vaginal exam. Abberman then, not only “checked” me, but painfully and without warning me or asking for consent, he stripped my membranes. I felt so violated. It’s still pains me to think about. If I had realized then that I had power to switch doctors even that late in the game, I would have. I was terrified for Abberman to show up for my birth because I felt very unsafe. In my opinion, Abberman tends to be egotistical and makes his decisions based on his convienience and not on what is best for his patient. I believe doctors should have conversations with their patients about what they recommend and why. It was unethical for Abberman to violate my rights and my body the way he did. I hope future patients will be cautious when choosing his as a doctor."
