"At my 6 week postpartum visit I asked her if I could get the implant in my arm for birth control and she told me pills were my only option because they're hormone free and I'm breastfeeding. 6 months later I find out I'm pregnant again so I make an appointment to come see her. She says i should have put the implant ... then she talks about plan B and I said I wasn't sure if I should take it because of the hormones and whatnot. She told me that her daughters were in catholic school and they know that so she doesn't know why I don't know that. She made me feel like I made a mistake for becoming pregnant but a child's life is never a mistake. She talked down to me and made me cry. She called me irresponsible but I'm stepping up to the plate and taking care of my kids instead of looking for the easy way out. I shouldn't have let it get to me but I was actually excited to see her again and tell her the good news. Also when I had my first baby I brought her my 3d ultrasound pic excited to show off my beautiful baby and she said my daughter looked like an alien. She also said she would 95% most likely be there for the birth of my baby. I was in the hospital for 3 days and she didn't even come by to visit and she told me she lives and works 5min away.. also I made appointments ahead of time and always had to wait 30min to an hour and a half to be seen. I would get called into the room and have to wait more while I hear her talking with the nurses about their personal lives... over all bad experience. I am looking for a new OB .."
"started my prenatal care at Ms. Newtons (OBGYN) back in November, 2018. I moved across town, making this doctors office closer and more convenient for my family. My first impressions of her office was a bit out-dated with limited medical supplies. The staff was a bit rude, and for some odd reason, they only accepted cash payments. I continued my care under this clinic, until February 2019. Here are the main reasons, i left the clinic at 32 weeks pregnant. Ms. Newton's assistant is not an educated professional with a medical degree. She is a medical assistant, which was my first red flag. Although the young (MA), is very sweet and kind. Her level of education does not exceed a (certificate). Starting at 28 weeks, i began experiencing minor complications during my pregnancy. Instead of pursing my medical complications with tests, i was told to visit my local pharmacy a few times. I asked if i could have an ultrasound performed for growth and progress? I was told, that her stomach measurements are the best way to determine my daughter's growth. Also, I asked can we find out how much she weighs? I was told that once my daughter is born I will be told her exact birth weight. I had one ultrasound completed back in December 2018 at 22 weeks, pregnant. Ms. Newton missed approximately seven blood tests while i was under her care. In addition, I was told that i cannot go on maternity leave any earlier then the day my daughter is born. I complained for weeks, of my cramps, back pain, my psychical discomforts down south. I was advised to, purchase a maternity belt. I did not feel that Ms. Newton and her staff cared for my daughters well-being. Also, i admitted myself to urgent care and the emergency room. Since my complaints fell onto deaf ears. I finally decided to switch clinics, the first day at my new (OB's) office i had the growth ultrasound performed. On my second visit all the missing blood tests including HIV, was completed. My new doctor really listened to me and he took a per term labor test. Guess what! that test was positive. I am now on bed rest and off work. What does that say about Ms. Newton's clinic and her over-all performance? Moreover, Ms. Newton made a negative age related comment. ( I slide in under 35). The nickname, she enjoyed using for my unborn baby, was little monster. Furthermore, I called Ms. Newton's office to ask for my co-payment for labor and delivery to be refunded? The office staff, stated that my final bill will be applied to my cash co-payment. Well that was 3 weeks ago, I have not received a refund. I am so grateful, for my new (OB)."
"First of all when you walk in the office you don’t even get a hello , just a stupid face from a few staff like if they hate working there. You are supposed to be greeted not ignored. 2nd, I came to this obgyn a few times for my IUD to get removed which I was sent to a surgery center to get it taken out. My appointment was at 2:00pm & Dr Zak did not arrive until 1hr & a half later. I understand she had to deliver a baby but she could of told the office to tell me to reschedule my appointment instead of having me wait so long. Especially since I haven’t ate the whole day or drink anything due to the anesthesia. I didn’t even get a apology from her she came in like nothing. Her office staff are a bit rude there’s only a few that are really nice. I suggest you research for a obgyn before coming to this one. Don’t make it the same mistake like I did & settle for just her."
"I really tried to appreciate and like this Doctor, I gave her the benefit of the doubt the first few times I met w her. But the continued disregard, unprofessionalism and blatant rudeness has overwhelmed my grace. Her facility is very dirty and in need of serious upgrades, she has a dog running around (though I’m a dog lover, I don’t believe a medical facility is fit for a dog), she never thoroughly answered any questions and it seemed that she was always pressed to get me out of her sight as soon as possible. Every appointment was rushed and lacking in care or common courtesy. She seemed more interested in her side conversation about lunch than she did about my baby. When I decided to move onto another doctor, she rudely confronted me about it as if it wasn’t my right to chose another doc. She spoke in a desparaging manner and made me feel horrible in my pregnancy. This doctor is in serious need for some lessons on common courtesy and how to treat human beings. If you care for the health of your baby, stay clear from this person. I really think she should reconsider her profession, the way she behaves, maybe being a professional wrestler suits her better, she certainly has the size for it."
"Probably one of the worst experience I've ever had with any doctor. My girlfriend is currently pregnant & found this doctor close to us. We liked her at first as she was nice, but we quickly found out that she was not. A couple things happened in our lives where we weren't able to make 2 of her appointments. The 3rd appointment we had we were 10 minutes late. We know it's unacceptable to be late & we totally understand that but to kick us out completely as a patient while you're 3 months pregnant is absolutely not okay. They were very rude and the lady in the front that sits there to take appointments is a nasty human being. You all need to do some serious soul searching for your miserable lives. It is unacceptable to treat your patients the way that you & your staff do. Your attitudes are disgusting. Don't go to this place especially if you're pregnant."
