Lakeside RV Park 5870 Homestead Road, Pahrump, NV 89048

"The park is very quiet but is getting run down. We were in site 27 and you could tell the sprinkler system was not working nor had it been working for a long time. The pool was supposed to be open but there again, you could tell it had been shut down for a while. The fountain in the lake was no longer working. Everyone who worked there were very nice except the lady working the front desk, she was rude and lazy."

"This RV park used to be a gem, but it's gone way down hill. The grounds are a total disaster. They don't appear to be maintained at all. Sure, its a desert and benefit of doubt, they may have severely cut back on water, but they dont appear to have any grounds work for a very ling time. Walls of tumbleweeds are piled up against severely overgrown reeds along the lake. The lake is green with algae. What was once grass between the camp sites and along the "greenbelt" areas is nothing but rocks, weeds, bare dirt and gopher holes. Trash liters the walkways. Sections of the sidewalks around the lake are covered in mud. We had to go into town to get a slicker brush and spent over an hour picking out burs, small tumbleweed twigs and seeds from our dog's fur and paws. This was just from the all the debris he picked up from walking him around the grounds and sitting in our campsite pad area. If maintaining the site pads is too cost prohibitive, perhaps replacing what was once grass with artifical turf or landscape rock should be considered. At the very least, the weeds, trash and dead foliage should be cleaned up. We used to rave about this RV park to everyone. We sold our trailer after the kids grew up and hadn't been here for several years. We recently got a small trailer for the two of us. We were so excited to come back here. We're so disappointed in the condition of the grounds, we would no longer recommend it unless there was major improvement to maintenance of the grounds."

"Beautiful campground, full hookups for campers/RV's. I could see us coming back here when it warms up to use the pool and the lake. They have catch/release fishing - no license required! It was a beautiful, peaceful, and safe campground!"

"Made a reservation to stay at the RV park. Several days before we were to arrive our plans changed. Their site said we could cancel at least 48 hours ahead of time with no charge. I canceled well beyond this time but they charged me anyway. Update. They did end up reaching out to me and I found out they had honored a special request I had so I'm updating my review. However, although you can make a reservation online, if you try to contact them online to cancel, they don't know where that request ends up. So you can make a reservation online but apparently you cannot cancel it online."

"I’ve been camping at Lakeside for over 20 years, so I’ve seen a lot of changes. The park is in horrible condition and keeps getting worse…grass is dead, trees are dead, sprinklers don’t work, everyone says to call corporate and complain, rude rude rude office staff and to top it all off, NO CAMPFIRES!!!! Where did that come from??? This is a first!!! They tried to blame the county, but we knew better because it was already lifted. Lakeside is doing everything they can to run every single one of their loyal guests out of there. I used to tell EVERYONE how much we loved it, but not anymore. It really is quite sad, because some of our best memories were made there. Funny that you have a four star rating, which obviously means you are removing negative reviews and misleading your customer base. If you’d like to discuss, I’d LOVE to educate you on how things used to be."
