"Worst customer service ever. I bought a dress here YESTERDAY tried it on my daughter it was too small and they said they could not exchange it for a bigger size bc I had washed it. They accused me of lying of washing it when hadn’t even been 24 hours I bought it. What a terrible Carter’s, now wonder why they’re always empty. I’ll be calling customer service. Save some time and go to another location. Customer service sucks here."
"I love Carter's.. but will not return to THIS location. The gal checking me out was absolutely passive aggressively rude. She rung up my order and I went to pay with my Carter's store card. I had not used the card in a while and had not realized Carter's lowered my credit amount which resulted in a decline of the card. I was shocked (and quite frankly embarrassed) that my card had declined and kindly asked if she happened to know why it declined (thinking that since it was a Carter's card perhaps it would say setting on her screen. She replied "No, it's not my account I wouldn't know why it declined, you need to call them" Like...umm okay?! Obviously it wasn't her account and that response was unnecessary and again, passive aggressive. I found out about the credit limit decrease and fully intended to just pay the difference, but ultimately decided to leave and not make my purchase solely based on her demeanor towards me. I went home and made my purchase online instead. I will not be back and I have to end with, if she is so rude to a customer who was just looking for guidance I assure you she has done this to other customers as well. Save the stress and go to another location or order online."
"Pretty miserable experience making a return without a receipt of a gift. The policy (as shared by the cashier) required that I make the exact amount or more in an exchange and a merch credit was not an option. This left my wife in the car with an upset baby longer than necessary while l searched for something of need. Staff were unknowledgeable of store assortment telling me they didn't sell vests which I later walked by in my search. Then came the checkout process. During which I was required to create an account to complete my transaction. Carter's, please do better with you policies. They are very frustrating for the customer. All this for an $8.88 exchange. I will not be returning."
"Alright calling all parents grandparents aunties and uncles and anyone who loves to have the children in their lives looking spiffy and cute. The staff is awesome at this place. They make sure that you know of all their specials in the store and that you are comfortable as you shop. On the day I went I found that they had a 70% off cute sets for babies. My new grandson is going to be quite Dapper when he finds out what granny has gotten for him."
"Obviously great stuff for kids, but a very bizarre return policy if you lost your receipt (must exchange that day, even though you only receive credit based on the current selling price - no merchandise credit given) or received a gift and have a gift receipt."
