"The place was filthy. I got skin rashes on my arms and legs from sitting in the day room. It took 2 days to get neosporin. The shows had gunk build up, and the bathroom floor looked like it had feces smeared along it. For 2 days I was denied some of my prescriptions that I had been getting for years. They housed very mentally ill male patients in the female wing. One was right across the hall from me and would scream and bang on the walls at all hours. I got in trouble more than once for closing my door since we weren’t allowed to but I felt physically unsafe so I broke that rule a couple times. I tried to contact the patient advocate 3 times and never heard back from them. This is not a place of healing. You will be worse coming out than when you went in. I’ve mentioned a little of what I experienced there. It should be shut down. Only reason I can think of that it’s still open is because of money. If you are thinking of sending a loved one here, please please please do not. Being there set my mental health back to the point I’m still trying to recover."
"Hot coffee thrown on me by one patient and a punch thrown at me by another. Never separated, I didn't instigate it. Slept in same unit with unlocked doors at night. But had I retaliated I'm sure I'd be charged and sued. Racist facility. Joke. Don't go here if you can't handle yourself. Choose jail. At least in jail when someone else assaults you can fight back and they are charged. Here, Lord of the flies."
"My brother is there right now and he called me, frantically asking to be picked up because he's being horribly abused. I heard staff screaming at him threatening him in the background to hang up the phone. I called back to try and speak to the manager and was hung up on. I feel like they're abusing patients in there. This place will be reported to the board of ethics. How is this place staffed with such horrible people?"
"there was a patient that was a danger to the other patients and in my opinion the staff did not do enough to keep us safe. there were also plenty of nurses that were very rude on staff which is very difficult to deal with when you're already in a crisis. very low empathy. staff felt negligent. my items were improperly inventoried and not given to me to wear. my psychiatrist would write me a script for a drug and the nurses never gave it to me. various staff members would tell me something would happen and then it wouldn't. but if I mentioned that this was happening apperantly I was expecting to be "catered" to."
"Bedbugs, violence, negligent care from staff. My 9 year old was assaulted, didn't feel safe staying. There is no patient advocate on staff. The doctor(s) are not 24/7. They did not give my child their daily medication and lied to my face they'd tried to call me to sign a form but said I never answered. There was no missed phone calls."
