"Having been a nurse myself I do not understand the concept of not giving antibiotics to a person who has been sick with a sinus infection for 3+ weeks and instead thinks giving a mountain of steroids instead is a better idea, but Monique Turner, APRN seems to think that’s the way to go. I should also mention my husband and I BOTH came in at the same time on the same day with the same symptoms. He saw someone else who was quick to diagnose the sinus infection, Give antibiotics and send him on his way. Myself on the other hand got immense push back, told I didn’t know what I was talking about when I confirmed that you can actually prescribe both antibiotics and steroids at THE SAME TIME, and got attitude when I stated it seemed pretty counter productive to give one person antibiotics and not the other when they live in the same home, sleep in the same bed and have the same symptoms. I demanded a new doctor and when I got one it was the same doctor that saw my husband. I got my antibiotics and was sent on my way. Something that should have taken an hour tops ended up taking close to 3. Ridiculous. If a patient wants antibiotics GIVE THEM. They know their body, and especially after WEEKS of doing over the counter drugs with no success. I’m sorry but these people don’t understand that concept and instead push their narrative on others that home remedies will work “ eventually” so tell me when I get deathly ill because no one listens to me who do I need to sue? Will never recommend this place or Monique Turner, APRN. She’s absolutely incompetent and incredibly rude with zero bedside manner."
