"I cannot say enough about Sarah in the front office at UMC primary care Southern Highlands location. She has gone above and beyond helping me with all of my family members. She assisted me with my special education, autistic son a few weeks ago and I was extremely satisfied then. Today, I have been addressing an ongoing issue, trying to get medication for my father, even though he is not yet established as a new patient until the end of this month. She quickly heard my concerns and talked to me privately earlier today. She problem solved, and offered an idea that I never thought about or knew about which was an online UMC primary care/urgent care portal, communication system to speak with a doctor to refill my father‘s medication until he has his very first visit at this location at the end of the month. She took care of all of the paperwork as I had to provide her with POA paperwork from my father and mother today while simultaneously she is assisting me navigate with this new ap on my phone to create an account so that I can speak with the doctor through UMC, so that my father is not without medication. Thanks to Sarah, after working on this for the last five days and being at my wits end…. Sarah truly saw how hard I’ve been working at it and felt my pain. I literally left that office in tears of happiness, knowing how much she did to calmly teach me how to get through this to help my dad. This young lady deserves a gold star, kudos and tons of appreciation from UMC. She went above, and beyond the call of duty, to teach me, provide me with the right information, secure solution for my father’s medication needs, assisted with paperwork to create a file in the system for all my family members, and with a smile on her face she does it like it’s just part of her normal day. She is truly an angel and Incredible in all that she does. UMC… PLEASE take the time to recognize this young lady in the front office of this location. She’s a miracle worker. She can train others how to do the job right. Thank goodness she is leading that front office. She places people first! Way to go Sara thank you for all that you do!"
"I called asking for a specific test. They told me they could not help unless I did a physical. After I got there, they said they couldn’t do the test at all and I would have to go someplace else. That place was also under UMC and did not have the test. Very manipulative to cash in on each visit. Do not recommend"
"Despite the numerous reviews stating that the front desk and/or NP Coleman are not professional, I had a great experience with them. My pain concerns were taken very seriously, I was referred to the right people, I had a thorough exam and discussion. Considering the history my family has with chronic illness and that I have had with prior providers literally gaslighting me, I felt very much seen and heard here. But everyone's experience is different."
"The Front office Lady was manipulative and not giving accurate information purposefully. She also said though I had an appointment that day, I couldnt be seen without a reference number. But another location already set me to come here & my insurance gave me the greem light. Then she stated she, the doctor will not be able to pull my medical records without it. I said not even without a signed Hippa form? And she looked confused. She told me i have to call back for the "walk in slot" Or go to the other location to be seen. Why would I do that if Im here? Its like shes warding people away. There needs to be better training & people who work with integrity. She was very unprofessional."
"Not sure where they hire Avelina Coleman from but after my visit with her I immediately told them to never book me with her again. She was rude and did not care or have any concern for my health concerns. She also ordered the wrong X-rays for my spine. Now I have to go and make a different appointment to get the right X-rays."
