"Clean office with nice staff. However, I was told at the end of my visit that UMC Primary Care does not prescribe controlled substances. The reason for my visit was to establish care and refill my anxiety and sleep medication. The APRN said all she could do was refer me to psych. There was ZERO mental health resources discussed or offered. I was told to try and “calm down” and go to quick care (but not the same day or it’ll look weird, per staff) if I really need the medication. I just relocated back to Las Vegas and scheduled the appointment to align with my current medication schedule. This should have made clear to patients to prevent harmful side effects due to office policy. Aside from the mental health issues, my other health concerns were brushed over and just notated in the system, I guess."
