"Horrible. This "Pain Center" is nothing more than the typical lame "Anesthesiologist" attempting to "CA$H IN" making a huge payday. Which is the model for many "Pain Clinics" around the US. I seriously don't like this trend in Pain management. It is my opinion that next to pathologists, anesthesiologists are the least qualified to interact with the public. It would be better for the typical Anesthesiologist to "Stick to" that specialty.. Rather than attempting to enrich themselves in areas they clearly are not qualified for. (once again my opinion) Basu's office is small and uncomfortable. There is a large TV on the wall showing "G" rated DVDs (Like Forrest Gump, or Teen Wolf) There are 3 irregular exam rooms. (Poorly Marked) At the end of the hallway there is a larger room where she does procedures. (Where the money is) There is constant staff turn over. Her "Style" of medical management makes keeping an assistant nearly impossible. As a result she is forced to see ALL her patients as well as perform procedures. (Operate!) This of course makes her tired and irritable. Basu makes mistakes and (when in this mood) will be short with her patients. At least once a week she snaps!! at one of her workers. Screaming so loud that even patients in the waiting room can hear her. A reasonable person has to conclude that Basu isn't fit to run her Pain Clinics. (that's two here in Las Vegas) There isn't very many persons of "Quality" working for her. The only staff that seem to "Stick" are there because they are not able to work in a better office (and would leave in a heartbeat if given a chance) or are so bad at their jobs they are not qualified to work anywhere else. Basu is incapable of keeping any MALE employees. (Draw your own conclusions on that one) If your pain is temporary (the result of an accident, or ??) This "Mill" might be adequate. That said.. Be prepared for your pain solutions to include costly "Injections". Of course that's where she makes all of her money. I have noticed that Basu insists on greeting patients without touching them. (Shaking hands etc.) I believe this may go to her cultural upbringing as an Indian. (Basu is first generation American. Having spent most of her life in India.) If she doesn't touch you she considers you an "Untouchable" person. Which I guess means you are lower than Human. Being an "American" all my life.. I just can't wrap my head about such antiquated customs. But who knows? Maybe if she touches you she might have to "Scrub up" for her next procedure. The reason I point this out within a Google Review is because.. In all my years I have never encountered a doctor that would NOT greet you with a touch of some kind. Basu insists on wearing wearing dirty scrubs when examining her patients. Maybe it's simply cheaper for her to wear operating garb all day rather than have an alternative wardrobe? When it comes to treatment. The only way she can make her "Clinic" work is to perform as many injections as possible. Writing prescriptions might help desperate suffering people.. but it doesn't pay the bills. So more than likely she will prescribe Injections when other treatment's should be considered. For the rest of the suffering souls.. Basu doesn't want anything to do with you. Chronic Pain patients need not apply. Certainly NOT the worst pain center in town.. But far far from the middle."
"Had an appt, but was out of it due to pain & lack of sleep. I ended up taking wrong bus, called in and was told as long as I got there before 1:30 I could still be seen. Had a friend race across town, and made it. Once inside the smug blond went to the back & acted like she was talking to domeone and said I had to reschedual even aftter my neck was really bad. Ended up going to Centenial Hills ER and was diagnosed with a sprained neck on top of the degenerative disk disease, bad combo, potentially dangerous..."
