"I was excited to visit this store as it's in Vegas, I didn't have to travel far. They have great presence on IG but our visit to the store was disappointing to say the least. I'm going to keep this short. I was planning to buy for my family and friends for my upcoming wedding. I didn't appreciate how the father/owner treated us, stated we wasted his time since I changed my mind about my significant other's barong. I guess customers can't change their mind apparently and at that point I didn't want to buy anything, but my mom and daughter liked their dresses. Sir, DON'T GUILT TRIP YOUR CUSTOMERS and if you're easily overwhelmed, I suggest you don't work with people especially in retail. What was said will be remembered. I wish we didn't go to this store, left a bad taste in the mouth of how Filipinos treat their customers. It's only successful since they're the only Filipiniana store in the city. Major points to the daughter for trying to pacify the situation and holding her father accountable. Thank you and I appreciate you, but I was already outside to cool off. I held my tongue and walked away since he is an elder. I am rude but I know when and where. Reply to your reply: Sir, your attitude was the problem towards a customer and clearly you omit that part when you were rude to my mother. Huffing and puffing because you were inconvenienced and overwhelmed. This is my truth and I will based my review based on MY experience of what I saw. I told my mother to tell you not to steam them as you have many customers that came in so you could assist them. We were trying to be courteous as it was too much. I wanted to buy my dress but since it got busy and you were in a panic and confused of which is which, I just wanted to come another time. But nah, after what was said and done, we are not coming back. Good day to you and I’m glad your daughter did a much better job at handling herself and customers."
"I flew to CMC Boutique from Portland, as I was looking for a set of barongs for my groomsmen. My cousin who lives in Las Vegas said I should come down and see the shop as they have a wide variety to choose from. I brought all the groomsmen measurements with me and I picked out a barong style. Since there were coming from the Philippines, it would take a bit of time. Originally, it was supposed to arrive at the end of Aug., but there was a bit of delay and CMC kept me updated. When we got word that the barongs had arrived, they double checked the measurements against them and then shipped them off to me. When the wedding day came, all the groomsmen fit into their barongs and looked great. Would greatly recommend CMC Boutique for your traditional Filipino attire."
"Wonderful selection of traditional Filipiniana. Owners are easy going and willing to help. They steamed my barong for free prior to purchase. Will make this my main store for future purchases."
"I purchased a Barong Tagalog from CMC. Figuring out size and style was a positive one. Great communication with a rep that was consistent and followed up. Shirt had to be ordered from the Philippines, which took about 5 weeks. Wait was not an issue since I planned ahead. When I received the Barong, it was neatly folded and packed in a vacuum sealed bag, and it was clearly obvious that it had never been opened from the factory. Upon opening it, I noticed right away, 2 long brown lines on each side of the front of the shirt, from the top of the chest, extending vertically down to the bottom of the shirt. I reached out to my CMC rep. She stated I could have it steamed by the dry cleaner, at the lowest temperature. This should address the dark lines and remove them. The dry cleaner I have been using for over 10 yrs stated otherwise. They told me, steaming the shirt would not clean up the dark lines. Upon their advice and guidance, I decided not to leave it with them. I reached out to my CMC rep, via phone and then text. It took her 2 days to respond. At this point, I am just over a week out before flying out to my wedding in Hawaii. When I told her what the dry cleaner stated, she quickly handed me over to the owner of CMC. This is when the experience went bad. The owner is a bulldog! No nicer way to say it. She was controlling from our first phone call. Even after face timing with her, showing her the blemishes, she used every excuse in the book to assign blame and hesitated to offer a remedy. She told me the shirt was inspected prior to shipping. Wrong! Shirt was folded tightly and neatly in a sealed vacuum pkg from the manufacturer. It had never been opened...ever! She stated that the brown lines were there to make it look like an original Barong Tagolog. Firstly, they advertise that they sell original Barongs, so why make it look like one? The shirts that CMC sells are silk. Still very nice, it is not made with the original Pina material. Owner stated that the dry cleaner damaged it. They didn't touch it. Then she down played the blemishes, "it's not that bad." All I wanted was to exchange this shirt for a new one, since they had the exact same shirt and size in stock. After many rounds of excuses, the owner using guilt tactics, then playing the victim, she finally agreed to send me a new shirt. She stated they would send it out the same day and cover shipping (LV to Seattle). In return, I offered to cover the cost to send the blem shirt back once I receive the new shirt. The owner agreed to this fully. As each day passed, I received random text from the owner saying the shirt hasn't gone out yet, she wanted to know when I was shipping the blem shirt back, wanting a tracking number, etc, etc. I finally reached out to her and we spoke over the phone. She back peddled from her original offer and agreement. She now wanted the blem shirt first before sending out the new one. After reasoning with her, she agreed to mail the shirt out per our original agreement. Realizing we are now out of time, she offered to mail the shirt next day air. Once she realized it would now cost $54 to ship, she started texting me, wanting to split the cost. I agreed without hesitation. I just wanted a clean shirt for my wedding. I offered to send the money via zelle when I got off work. She agreed. Then a random text..."when can you send the money?" I responded I was working and could no longer be bothered. I promised to send the money per our agreement as soon as I got off work. Another text, she would not send the shirt until she received the $27. At this point I ceased all communication with the owner of CMC. Work was extremely busy and I could not allow the owner to create more koas. The owner stated more than once that she has had a very successful business for 30 yrs and this has never happened. The owner used empty promises and stall tactics, to get out of making this right. Choose better! A company is only as good as how they remedy the negative issues making them right for the customer. I would not refer this company."
"Great store! I visited around 4 different stores for barongs in Southern California, and I ultimately bought my barong for an upcoming wedding here at CMC! The store is spacious and filled with lots of variety and colour. The prices are very reasonable and the owners are attentive and sweet. Thankful that my friend Chris recommended this store to me."
