Cheecho's Fajitas & Cantina

"I recently went here with a very large party of 18 people. The food was ok, but the service was not. One thing I hate more than anything else is ordering soft drinks for all 18 of us (not cheap as they were over $3 each) just to have to ASK for refills not once, but 3 different times! When our drinks get low, part of tipping a waiter is the expectation that our table will be served accordingly. The refills took forever each time. Of course I expected gratuity to be included in my receipt due to the size of our party so this was very upsetting knowing our service sucked and they knew they’d still be getting an 18% tip from me. Another thing I was not expecting was for the chips and salsa (portrayed as free) to be on my bill. The first round was free, but we asked for a 2 more rounds of chips and salsa due to the length of time it was taking them to take our order, and the length of time it took them to get us our food we ordered. They charged me!!! Due to the size of our table, there were 3 sets of chips and salsa. The additional charge each was $5 each. Do the math. That added an extra $30 to my bill!! This infuriated me as I had already brought them a healthy load of people to THEIR restaurant to eat. We won’t be back because of this, and we do birthday dinners this size at least 5 times a year. We had hoped this would be the place we chose to continue going from here on out and make it a tradition, but that sealed their fate. If it’s just you and one other person, this place is good. Don’t bring a large party and expect to be treated good for doing so."

"The food was delicious and the staff were so amazing. They have a pretty awesome kids menu and they were so kind to my kids who are young toddlers. They got my kids food out quickly so it could cool and we had our food shortly after. It was a great experience. I'd definitely come back. Heads up, the beans are not vegetarian but the rice and veggies were delicious."

"Service and food was excellent. Shredded beef was delicious and full of flavors. They allowed me to personalize a burrito just how I wanted it. The side guacamole was good and well priced. Ask for no lemon if you aren’t a fan of that flavor in your guac. Carne asada burrito was delicious. The soup you get with dinner was yummy as well and creamy and smooth flavors. They serve chips, salsa and beans as you wait. Only reason for losing a star was the price of my a la cart burrito was as much as a combo meal served with rice and beans. There should be a little discount for getting just a burrito and no meal. We will be back but I’ll just ask better questions when ordering special so I know up front why to expect."

"My family and I got to finally try this place after passing it several times since its opening date and I'm glad we did too. First off, I always enjoy walking around the area that this restaurant is located - it doesn't feel like you're in Las Vegas (can be a refreshing feeling at times). Next, the moment we walked in, we received a warm greeting from the hostess and got seated immediately. As soon as we sat down they didn't delay serving the chip and salsa/beans which was greatly appreciated because we were starving. We ended up ordering the Mango Margarita, Guava Margarita, Chicken Fajitas, Enchiladas En Guajillo, 2-item Combo (Carne Asada Burrito and Shredded Beef Enchilada), Carne Asada Taco, Tres Leches, and Homemade Churros from beginning to the end. I enjoy having my fair share of classic margaritas; however, our server recommended a Guava Margarita which I had to try because I'm a huge fan of guava. Both margaritas were spectacular and had a generous amount of tequila. My daughter really enjoyed her enchiladas; she thought it was one of the best enchiladas she's ever had. Also, the vegetables that were served was the perfect mix - she loves the seasonal medley with zucchini and squash. The dessert was outstanding as well - we especially loved the churros with ice cream. When we bit into the churro, we were greeted with a warm filling which was not expected, but phenomenal nonetheless. Overall, the food quality was beyond exceptional. The price to food quantity and quality ratio was reasonable; I really appreciate how this restaurant supports the men and women of the military to include its Veterans. Lastly, the service here was extraordinary - our server, Stephanie (spelling) did an amazing job! Highly recommend this restaurant to everyone...you will not be disappointed."

"First time for me to visit this restaurant. The service was excellent and quick during a late lunch on a weekday. Food was alright. Had the flaming fajitas which impressed my date. A bit of mix up though on the side dishes to our orders. Not on top of my list to return soon but really nothing bad about the place."
