Betty's Speed Wash Coin Laundry

"Looks like it's never been updated and I find that oddly comforting. The washers work great, I haven't been in the middle of summer, but when it was high 80's it was a comfortable temperature. My dryer at home still works so I can't rate those, but based on the washers I expect they work great. When my washer bit the dust I tried the new 24 hour laundry. Not impressed. Uncomfortable chairs and for the price I shouldn't have to wash my clothes twice to get it clean. The other one is better, but the second time I went I wasted money, time, and soap on one that didn't work. Warned the people who came in as I was leaving and they had reported it weeks prior. So I tried Betty's. Found the best one and cheaper than the rest."

"I've stepped back in time.... an old block building with friendly/helpful folks. Machines ranged from newer to harvest gold (if you know when that color was popular, you'll understand). I've now seen my first coin operated clothes press!!! I'm sure it is a relic but it had heat radiating off of it.... I'm impressed. I can imagine the local neighborhood having meet ups here discussing everything from naughty kids to politics over matching socks and pressing trousers. A hidden gem in an otherwise modern society."

"Charming. Affordable. Consistently up kept. Not usually an attendant on site, but all things are readily available w/in close proximity, @ eye level (enough) that one wouldn't have to hunt for anything. If nothin else friendly townsfolk happy to lend advice, etc. Vending machines stocked. Change machine reliable, full. Safe. Conveniently located. And MY personal fav which initially drew me here: small business locally owned for many years, even after the bigger, brighter, fancier, 24 hr laundrymat came to town. Yay!"

"Old Fashioned and exquisite for sure! Not fancy at all BUT clean and constant breeze from the water coolers. It does the job and hey, it takes you down memory lane; going to the laundry mat with mama. We came early in the morning and there was no one here. It was nice."
