"I have lived at V2 for 4 years. I love living at V2. This place is well managed, and they are courteous and responsive to residents. When things are set right, it runs itself. Part of management is the building up keep and maintenance required on the property. V2 has a website to help manage routine and emergency issues on your residence and the grounds. It helps to be a newer building but all buildings need attention and it can be urgent. I know it happened to me. They have maintenance personnel available 24hrs a day for emergencies. I am satisfied with the maintenance requested on my residence. The common areas are cleaned daily by hired staff. The noise complaint issues. I had one of these, and it was taken care of. It gets quiet here, especially at night. I live in a quiet spot. Their building has good noise suppression. The walls are made of 5/8" sheet rock. I can hear some walking on the floor above me. You are going to have this anywhere you go. If they stomp on the floor, you should let management know and be specific. I know some people have very good hearing, and they should respect their neighbors' privacy. If you want more privacy, buy a house. The building and grounds are set up for pets (they are nice). There is even a pet wash in the basement and a designated fenced yard where your pets can play unleashed (supervised). Victoria Park is nearby, and there is plenty of room to walk your leashed pet. Restrictions may apply. The 4 season garage available to renters at V2 is first rate with a place to wash your car, a vacuum, and air. It really matters when we get cold weather. There is plenty of unassigned parking in front of the building for your car. It is not for boats, trailers, etc. Restrictions apply. The views are as advertised. What do you want? The first floor has easy access at ground level in places. There are patios inside the courtyard and walk-in access to the pool. The 2nd through 5th offer balconies and some nice views of the Mississippi River. I like the inside courtyard on the 3rd floor. V2 is located in a historical area right next to the Mississippi River. There are trails for walking and cycling. There are two elevators that make moving in easy. The most important convinces in the units are the washers and dryers. Next are the walkout balconies. Looking over the floors plans can save some time. There is a convince fee that is not included in the rent. It pays for WiFi in the units and Basic Direct TV. It pays for sewer, water, and the trash. Utilities (electric and gas) are not included in the rent charges. The building is close to DT Saint Paul and away from a lot of busy streets. You get a feeling of being in a rural area. The rent increases vary depending on available units, increased operating cost, and property taxes. The rate varies usually from 0% to 3%. Stonebridge can offer special rent deals at times. This is a secure, smoke-free building. There are security cameras located on the property. When it comes to crime, no building is immune. The out of sight out of mind rule helps prevent thefts. Valuables should not be stored in your vehicles. Leaving valuables in your car will get them stolen anywhere. Leaving your car unlocked will also attract thieves. I don't recommend using the storage areas in the garage for valuables. The garage is for your car and it offers some security for your car. It does not protect anything left in your car, and unless it is covered on your car insurance, it is not insured. My car is covered by car insurance. Cars are stolen every day. There is a secure room for you to pick up your packages run by Luxor on the first floor. Read the terms of the lease. You must purchase renters insurance, and a deposit is required, 2 months advance notice required to vacate before the lease expires. You must vacate on the 1st of the month less one day at 12 noon. Enjoy your tour at V2 and everything it has to offer."
"Great place to live, terrible place to try to keep anything of value in their “secured” garage in a locked car, or storage. Multiple break ins and we have been hit 3 times now in less than 2 years for more than $4000 worth of damages. This just past week lost another bike. And other renters had cars broke into and radios stolen. It’s not just here it’s all over but still hard to live this way."
"My husband and I lived at v2 for 5 years before moving to Arizona. We absolutely loved St. Paul before the crime went up, but overall our time at V2 went well. We had a lot of issues in our unit, but the staff and maintenance worked really hard to help with these problems. We were concerned about our deposit as we had issues with mold and water damage, but thankfully we received our deposit back. We spent over 25 hours cleaning the unit, but fortunately it all worked out. The residents are amazing as well!"
"We moved into the V2 apartments January, 2018. After 30 years of home ownership, we downsized with high expectations that there's no place like home. V2 now feels like home minus any snow shoveling, raking (roof raking and snow blowing too) or maintenance and repairs. Here are the details we've observed and pleasant surprises we've enjoyed: Pros: 1. The V2 office staff are very attentive, leasing agents professional and initial lease negotiations were painless. 2. Maintenance staff is top notch and ultra responsive to service requests; The cleaning staff is humble and thorough 3. V2-Community: The residents are friendly with such a variety of ages and interests 4. Internet speeds and WiFi signals are strong and Dish (TV broadcast) service sufficient 5. The work out room is well equipped with new tread mills, Matrix machines and free weights. There's never a problem getting access to these! This enabled us to drop our Y-club membership, saving $$$ per month. 6. The overall building is kept very clean! 7. We and our grand kids have really enjoyed the pool! Cons: 1. Traffic noises on Shepard Rd side can take some getting used to. We bought a noise cancelling (white noise) device and turn it on only at night."
