"For 6 yrs, I loved staff, surroundings; beautiful apt & most reasonably priced I've ever lived in. BUT, IF you are a smoker, & they do allow it, beware! It would've been nice to be forewarned, they WILL charge 500 BUCKS! for smoke smell whn you move out!"
"I lived at one of Hampton Managements apartments for 4.5 years. The only reason I lasted this long was it seemed to be the only reasonably priced places to rent from in Grand Forks. In this time span, I had a dog for 3.5 of those years and even though you’re allowed to have a pet they would much rather you live alone and not make a sound. The way the office staff treats renters is unbelievably sad. They don’t believe in treating the renters with respect, this was shown in their attitude when speaking in-person or over the phone. I recently moved out and after the tens of thousands I spent in rent, I was still handed a bill from this greedy place. Yes, there was a rip in the carpet but after the amount I paid in rent, pet deposit, and even pet rent this place still finds a way to make people pay more. This is just one of many issues Hampton Management has."
"I cannot express enough disdain for this management company. I lived her for two and a half years with my fully grown, fully housebroken dog. She was also kenneled when I was away from home. Yet, when I moved out, not only did Hampton Management (Heidi), do a pre-inspection and tell us everything looked perfect, she also told us it would count as the final check out and encouraged us to leave the keys on the counter that evening. Later the following week, she sent me an email stating my apartment had a ‘strong urine odor’ and the carpet would be pulled up. I told her I thought that was odd considering my dog was kenneled when I was away and house broken. I also asked if the carpet padding was checked prior to my move in and received no response. Not only did they take my entire deposit, but they also did not subsidize my rent. I gave a full 30+ day notice and moved out the tenth of the month. I paid my rent on time, I was a quiet tenant and had no issues until my move out. I CANNOT stress this enough; DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!"
"I rented from Hampton Management for four years and I definitely recommend them for a number of reasons. The rent for my one bedroom apartment was affordable and did not change in the four years I was there. The office staff were always friendly, understanding, and accommodating when issues would arise (e.g., needing to make a late payment, losing keys, etc.). The maintenance staff were always responsive and quickly took care of issues when they were reported. The general maintenance of the property (e.g., snow removal, grounds upkeep, etc.) was also very good. When I moved out, they were fair with returning most of my deposit. Again, I definitely recommend renting from Hampton Management!"
"I have lived here since 2004 first in a one bedroom unit, which is probably the most well thought out floor plan I’ve ever seen in apartment style living. Every unit having its own private entrance, I hate shared commons areas and smelling other peoples cooking, unless they’re cooking for me. My favorite amenity has always been the pool area, which is private and currently in the process of being renovated and close to opening. I had a tour today, and it’s nothing short of GORGEOUS!!! It looks and feels like a tropical paradise. It’s set up is perfect, you can lounge by the pool or sit in the shade surrounded by lush tranquil gardens. Sounds like I’m writing an Ad, but it’s true. In closing I must mention the staff. Who have been friendly, prompt, and available at any hour addressing whatever need I’ve had whether it be a maintenance issue or a crazy neighbor (only one, so good job screening) over the past 15 years. This is my home. So my hope is if you choose to live here, you will care about it as much as I do."
