"Have been staying here for 28 years and this place is falling down around itself. Nothing has been updated for years and there is a real bad mildew smell coming from the rug. Everything we purchased and left in the room took on the mildew smell and had to wash everything when I got home. The price is right and the rooms are very clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Too bad things are going downhill for this little motel but all things must come to an end! It's been a good 28 years but it's time to find a new motel for my stays in Grand Forks!!!"

"The location for Happy Host Inn is definitely one of its strong points. It's located near most major shops and centers in Grand Forks. The staff were very polite and the rooms were clean for their age. The vibrating bed was also pretty cool! The only issue we had was with the wifi. It didn't connect the whole night and when we asked about it we were basically told we just wouldn't have it. So if you need reliable internet this probably wouldn't work for you. But for the price of the room we pretty satisfied."

"Super old & outdated. The woman who works at the front counter is a psycho. She called up to my room after I checked in accusing me of shorting her $50. I thought it must be some kinda scam until she apologized & said she found the $50 in her till."

"Clean,comfortable, but basic. Central to shopping attractions and very reasonably priced. After many years still our favorite place to stay."
