"Solid location, but one big problem: the Mens sauna temperature is way too low. I sat in for 30 minutes multiple times over the past few weeks, even after the new renovations, and could have easily stayed in for another 30 minutes. Staff says it is set to 190, but it definitely does not set to 190. This is most likely due to the heating unit not being big enough for the space coupled with the door opening too much - which could be solved by increasing the unit temp or adding in another heating unit or adding in a larger heating unit. This sauna is a waste of time. Staff - please make some adjustments. This sauna would be a great space if it actually hit 190-200 consistently."
"For the past 4 months, I have been paying for a membership that I haven’t been able to use. I asked them to cancel my account because I couldn’t freeze it again - I am in college and can’t go to any EOS nearby - and they said they would. Little did i know i have been paying the whole time. Wasted 100$ when could have paid 20$.l"
"The machines and the gym itself are nice but the service and EOS billing policies are not. Also, this gym is horribly packed. It is way too busy and I could never recommend it. I came in on 12/30/23 to cancel my membership and was told I had to pay another month. Fine, I understand. Well, it turned out that I had to pay my February bill as well for who knows what reason. The staff at the front are either poorly trained or just don’t understand the billing policy because they have no confidence in what they’re saying and give answers that make no sense. Despite not actually visiting EOS since early December, I was forced to pay for January and February. Find a nice local gym and avoid dealing with EOS."
"Overall, nice facility that's kept clean and presentable. Staffs engaging. Plenty of standard equipment and access to different interests in half court basketball, biking, movie room (weird) and swimming. Downsides, popular times are too crowded and make it challenging to do much of anything. Cardio equipment is older, not enough ellipticals."
"I am looking for a gym near my new home and just stopped by Eos Fitness on Mayo Blvd. They wouldn't even let me take a tour of the facility without signing up first. Said it was for "liability reasons". This was confirmed by someone who had "Operations Manager" on her name tag. IF this is true, then I think they should seriously reconsider this business tactic. There's lots of gym in the vicinity so they don't have a cornered market to impose such strong arm sales tactics. Interestingly, after I walked out, I got a text saying that they wouldn't make me sign up after-all to get a tour. Riiiiight. Maybe practicing honorable sales practices on the front end instead of after the fact would result in more sales."
