"First off not a safe area the apartment complex next store (tides east) has tons of 10-20s year old kids that are wanna be gangsters that break in and steal the cars from our complex ! Not only that a 14 year old from (tides east) who we share a wall with was shot and killed just 50-70 yards from my doorstep! The kid that passed associated with the neighbor kids that steal cars and I know this because I speak to the police whenever there is an issue such as a gang units searching multiple apartment complexes at (tides east) Just last week they were checking the door handles on my vehicle and my neighbors . All my neighbors tell me they are moving out . A lot of my neighbors have cameras on the porch pointing to the parking lot. Talise is Not a place for young children or any residents that respect themselves. I’ve seen multiple families with kids move out since I lived here I’m gonna do the same. I’ve had a man shooting up meth behind my car one summer I ran outside thinking he was stealing my vehicle turns out he was just hiding in the shade shooting meth with a needle. I gave him a chance yelled at him about how kids play here and I walked him to the side of the road told him to never come back I should have just called the police looking back on it . We just started having armed security two weeks ago he started walking around our property only about a year after that kid was murdered . The armed security is honestly a tweaker with a gun who thinks he’s in the military. He goes up to residents car windows and repeatedly flashes his light in the vehicle at night to make sure they are ‘ okay and haven’t seen anything lately’ very tweaky and honestly has no common sense to do this to a young lady at night . If you complain to the office about safety they give you the phone number of there security service instead of actually caring and taking note of the situation Roach issues no matter how much you bleach the floor and counter tops for some reason management says roaches live in the wall . Honestly that’s unacceptable there’s no way my neighbors are all that disgusting and messy I know all my neighbors except on the other side of the building and I find it pretty nasty an infestation can be so bad that they are coming from another part of the building . Management is terrible racist towards people that aren’t the same ethnicity as them. They will speak Spanish in front of you and act like no one else knows Spanish very immature and not to clever when half the residents know Spanish . I’ve put in work orders and they don’t fix them they just do what literally anyone else could do and jimmy rig a broken part and put it right back where it goes without fixing it . Multiple issues I’ve put work orders in and they basically just put a a bandaid on it. If my review doesn’t change your mind just looked at the countless other reviews that say the exact same thing. So if you don’t care about your family safety or you’re belonging this is the perfect place for you"
"We moved into this apartment complex 2021 at the time they were owned by a different company and everything was fine, we got our apartment quick and within a reasonable price. The following year when this new company took over they switched everything even staff. We went to renew our lease and which may I add they added $300 to the payment. That year (2022) we had SO MANY ISSUES. Including mold issues in the bathrooms and hornets nests in our back patio. Let’s start with the mold situation. The first time we sent a request to get it removed and they painted over it… we didn’t question much we thought maybe they sprayed it with special chemicals or something (thinking on the positive sign) then of course…. It came back… WORSE. We put in a second request which they took WEEKS to come back despite us calling! When they finally came again to look at it they realized there was actually a problem and had to cut our roofs out of BOTH bathroom. They had to go to our upstairs neighbor and do the same. We had a black bag hanging on the roof of our heads while we showered for WEEKS until they came back… the black bags were leaking water at one point which was disgusting. They had not offered to move us to a different apartment or anything for our troubles! They barley even let us in the loop of what was happening. The area is so bad… the first week…. FIRST WEEK…. At around 3 am there was a crackhead or something SCREAMING and I mean SCREAMING. So bad that I thought to call the cops because I thought someone was dying. Oh also that deposit they say they’re going to give you back…. Forget about it. You’re not getting it back. Well actually you might get $30 back like we did after not leaving ANYTHING in the home and cleaning it not once but twice before we left to avoid a cleaning fee. The office is not knowledgeable about anything. They definitely give you the run around. For example I came in with a money order to pay for rent. I checked the amount due right before leaving to the bank to make sure we paid the correct amount only for them to say that because it’s after 10 they add a fee… this lady was about to not let me pay my rent because of a 13 dollar fee…. I told her I’d give her my card and she said they don’t accept that. I told her my situation and she calls the manager. The manager proceeds to speak to her in Spanish (thinking I don’t understand) and literally tells her she’s doing her math wrong… I was baffled."
"I love my apartment and my experience so far at the Talise. We have lived here for 6 months and I have never felt so safe and secure. The neighbors are friendly and respectful and the office staff are quick to communicate when there are issues on property. My 1BR1BA unit has a full size washer and dryer which I love, and a walk in closet. I adore my kitchen and my bathroom, they both have storage space and are great. My living room is spacious and is warm and inviting with my sliding glass door. I will be resigning my lease and hope to make the talise my home for many more years."
"My wife and I applied for an apartment at Talise 3 weeks ago. We were told we would get their $1000 off move in special for the specific unit we applied for, but the day we went in to sign move-in cost paperwork we were told that deal didn't apply to the unit we applied for. That was the first red flag. I regret ignoring it. We continued with the application anyway. We were told that our admin fee would be refunded if we didnt get the apartment or if we decided to rescind the application. For two weeks I got texts or emails nearly every day requesting more documents, despite the fact that those fields were completed in the application we had already sent in. Today I went in to rescind our application and collect the money order they required for the admin fee, which would be refunded if our application was rejected or if we decided not to move forward with it. I was told that I didn't read the fine print on the move-in cost paperwork that I signed, and they could no longer refund my admin fee. They were easy to set up a tour with, and they said everything a prospective tenant would like to hear in our initial meeting, but were entirely incompetent at processing our application, and seemingly lied to us multiple times throughout this process. The office staff is either inept, or malicious and greedy, and I'm not really sure which. I suppose that is to be expected from an apartment whos management has changed so frequently. Dont waste your time here."
"I was the cosigner on an application here. They were difficult, contrary, and downright dishonest every step of the way. We gave them all of the documents they initially asked for in the application process and they asked for more. When we gave them those they asked for still more. The applicants are both contract workers, and as such don't have regular pay stubs, just checks from the jobs they have worked. Even after being told this, Talise continued to ask for pay stubs. It's as if they couldn't read a simple email. When we finally gave up and asked for our deposit back they refused, citing language in the application that said the deposit was only refundable if the paperwork was completed within 72 hours and we were declined. We had been told multiple times during the application process that the fee was completely refundable, and never told that there were conditions. I guess the lesson here is to read the fine print, and never, ever apply for an apartment at Talise. They are borderline criminal in how they deal with applicants, I can't imagine how they treat residents once they are locked into a lease."
