"I rented a property from Marla Graham(one of the landlords at Century 21 Toma) in Phoenix and can assure you she is not a landlord you want, unless, that is, you like being taken advantage of by someone who thinks they are sneaky and is going to try and get every single penny out of you that they can. I was a tenant of hers for over 2 years, from 2020-2022, paying over $35,000 in equity on her property during that time, but after move-out, I’m being threatened with my security deposit because of normal wear-and-tear on the property that she is responsible for as the owner. The “repairs” needed were items I noted on the move-in checklist, and were NOT damages incurred by me. According to the stipulations in the Arizona Landlord and Tenant Act, I am still owed $550 as my remaining security deposit balance. I have reached out to Marla several times over the last month, and I continue to be ignored (because she knows she is wrong and owes me money) which is such bad business and wildly immature. It seems Marla thinks if she ignores me it will go away and she can keep all my money. Again, real shady person….I 100% do not recommend. Avoid her, and avoid any firm that employs her."
