"We have lived in Surprise for about 18 years and have loved going to this park all of that time. The updates are beautiful, including the first responders/veterans memorial, the update on the pond, and nice parking on the north side of the pond. The playground is large and has lots of swings. As a mom, I would love if there was a fence in place at the entry/ exit for the playground that ends right at the parking lot. When you have a fast toddler/ preschooler, it would be very easy for them to run straight into the parking lot. Our last couple of visits have been less than great. There is now an ice cream truck or shaved ice truck parked in the parking lot near the bathroom that plays their high-pitched obnoxious music endlessly. It's like torture. There has to be a way to make that awful music stop? It really takes away from the park experience. I want to hear birds and kids playing! Overall, this is a great park."
"Honestly, it's a beautiful park. One of the best I've been to, the reason why I have given it 3 stars is because if you want ice for water you have to pay for a drink even if you buy a souvenir cup. They won't refill it up with ice. What's the point of allowing people to bring in their own hydros? If you're not gonna offer them the opportunity to get ice and the water is not that cold in the water fountain."
"Terrific for our 3 yr old and 11 mos grand daughters. Lots of challenges and fun. The lake with ducks is a good added feature."
"Great shaded playground with different slides, swings, climbing structures, and other areas for kids of different ages. Mostly wood chips as the base. A large pond that is a rather unnatural shade of blue with lots of ducks and other birds swimming. Kids love to play in the sandy surround. Very busy on a weekend. Love the stainless steel cactus sculpture walking toward the park."
