"Worst hotel we have ever stayed. I want to rate it 0 star. We found cockroach in our bathroom. The hair dryer was old and dirty. It was like a motel. We can hear the laundry noise above our room all night long. We had to change our travel plan and checked out early. The hotel was old and disgusting. We had to move out early and change our plan. This hotel was in the worst condition. I can’t believe it is Hilton hotel."
"The hotel is obviously old, the "fan" that helped cool our room was quite loud, and the pocket door that separated the shower and toilet was difficult to operate and very noisy as well. The pool was closed for remodel, and we only found out when looking at the website after landing in Phoenix. We ended up canceling our second and third night and moved to a hotel in Glendale due to this alone. The only reason it's not a 2-star review, is the staff. They were accommodating and friendly at all times. Some of the best customer service I've ever had at a hotel."
"Walked into our room as a service person was leaving. He said he was there to fix the bathroom door. The room was dated and smelled of smoke and the bathroom door fell off it's track (sliding door) the first time we tried to open it. We did not feel like walking anymore and going out to dinner. So we decided to eat at the restaurant in house and the salads were very tasty. Upon landing back home I've received 3 texts telling me they are charging additional charges to my credit card. I've tried calling for the past hour and cannot get through to a person to ask what these additional charges are for but nobody answers the phone or I get cut off, how convenient. Would not recommend."
"PASS. DON’T STAY HERE. IT IS NOT WORTH THE DISCOMFORT OR MONEY. I recently stayed at this hotel for an entire week and I could barely stand my room due to its smell. I could not tell if the stench was from the old and dirty-looking carpet, years of smoking in the room, mildew somewhere hidden in the walls, or perhaps all of the above. I really wanted to change rooms, but the hotel was completely sold out, so I knew there were no other options. The air was very noisy when on because the unit is old. I also noticed one morning that there was a leak in the lobby area close to the front desk. The staff was aware of it, but no one put anything under the leak to catch the water. It did happen to rain almost the entire week I was there and the hotel likely needs a new roof. The hotel is surrounded by seemingly good restaurants, but there are too many homeless people passed out, on drugs, or walking around aimlessly. However, I did notice that the hotel and many of the surrounding businesses use their own security outside. I think the homeless people like that area because restaurants probably throw out a lot of food every day. I don’t mind an old hotel as long as it is clean and safe. However, this hotel has seen better days and is not up to par with the other Double Tree Hotels I have stayed in before. To be fair, I think my bed was very clean. However, I wore flip-flops so that my feet would not touch the carpet. I also found the breakfast buffet to always be good on the first floor. The main area on the first floor has relatively new furniture, but the rest of the hotel is extremely outdated and desperately needs a remodel."
"Excellent hotel. Fairly good shape and maintained. Rooms, at least the one I had, could use a makeover … carpet was old. The bathrooms could use towel holders/racks … there was none. I ate before I arrived so I can’t comment on the dining service or area. The hotel service itself was superb and very pleasant to have a conversation. If it rains, be careful, the floors, inside and outside, are very slick. I had some morons talking and joking around outside of my room at 3:00am and no one was doing anything about the loud inconsiderate mindless raucous … I wasn’t to pleased."
