"I think it is sad that boats and personal watercraft are allowed anywhere near the beach areas. They should have to remain outside the buoys at all times after launching. Floating docks. Many people like to Kayak or paddleboard. Motorized boats make it unsafe for others in the shallower waters, especially children.. pack in and packout garbage or day use fees would help pay."
"Our visit was very enjoyable. My daughter and grandkids had fun playing in the water. And although it was crowded, people were spread out along the beach sitting on the grass with plenty of shady trees. The only problem was very limited parking. We only found a spot far down a gravel road, near the end."
"PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF TO KEEP THIS PARK NICE FOR EVERYONE. I love coming here with the family. We love BBQing and swimming. The swimming area is shallow so the water is warm. It does makes me a bit nervous that boats and jet ski's are allowed to go through the swimming area. The park itself is very expansive so it provides ample space for activities such as volleyball and Frisbee. Dogs are welcomed and dog poop bags are provided near the parking lot. Unfortunately, a big downside this last time was all the TRASH the careless people leave. There are plenty of trashcans provided but I guess people are just too lazy to walk over to them. It's a real shame. Be sure to wear footwear on the beach because there are pieces of GLASS around."
"I liked Lake Lowell, they say not to swim in Lake Lowell but I swam in it anyway. You only live once. There was a bunch of people swimming in Lake Lowell, jet skis, boats, fishing, barbecuing, having church services, counseling services, birthday parties, ppl with there dogs, animals, kids, I'd go again. I enjoyed it."
"Just a short drive and the kids and I are at the lake. I love this place! No fees, dog friendly. Just avoid towards the end of summer the water gets gross."
