"Pros: Bathrooms were super clean. Nice fire rings. spacy sites. Paved. Cons: No shade. Asphalt is like walking on pins and needles, not sealed so it sticks to everything when hot. Not good for kids or animals"
"If I could give zero stars I would! This place has been destroyed by the Forest Service, Camp Reserve America and the local contractor. BEWARE THERE ARE NO TENT SITES NOW AND THE SAME CONTRACTOR IS DOING BIG HANK AS WELL."
"6/12/2020 Kit Price had been closed for the prior 2 years to clear unsafe trees. The logging operation has left it in a terrible state this year. In our site (A12) we were unable to find ground even enough to pitch a tent due to ruts left from the logging. We ended up pitching it on the asphalt parking area. There are only a couple sites remaining with any shade available so the summer RV campers will suffer from the heat for many years to come until regrowth occurs. Now the good news. It is said that the Forest Service is planning to close the campground in the future, perhaps 2021, to install new tables, fire rings, paved parking spurs and restrooms. All sites will be made accessible. There's a lot of wood piled at most sites from the logging but the fire ring length rounds are too thick to burn as is so bring a splitting maul and wedge to take advantage of it. The hosts have been there in years past and are very nice and congenial while doing their best to deal with the mess that was left for them to deal with this year."
"It just might be the most enjoyable campground my wife and I have ever experienced. Our site had abundant trees, and there was a comfortable distance between us and neighbor campers. The river was a short stroll away, and it's calm enough to plop down chairs, cool off your feet, and savor the scenery. The host family was very friendly and helpful, too."
"Been going here for years fantastic place to swim, hike, or fish. Large sites that are well maintained. Several have private beaches attached to them."
