"Why have employees who cannot help you and always says oh well my boss isn't here. Why are you employing someone with no knowledge of your products? Multiple occasions this has now happened which is sad because this was our go to place for all our needs."

"As stated by other customers...AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I wish we would have seen these reviews and Yelp reviews before purchasing from this Spa Center Inc. However, we spent a lot of time researching which spa we wanted, and this was the only store in Boise that sold it. So, we bought without investigating the dealer. With many of the details left out, here is our experience: During the purchase of our new home, we decided to purchase a swim spa from Spa Center Inc the first week of October 2022. We paid a substantial deposit. The owner, Mr. Hoy told us to contact "his concrete guy" to prep the area for the spa, and assured us that it was an easy process and "his guy" would have no problems. We closed on our house within days of the purchase of the spa. The concrete guy came out to the house right away. He had a lot of questions before he could start. We tried to reach Spa Center Inc. and Mr. Hoy...no answer...no call back. The concrete guy tried to call days later with no luck either. Many days pass. Mr. Hoy called us, asking us to come down and pay the balance of the spa. We agreed to go down the next day. We arrived at the store during normal business hours to find it closed for the day. We called and left a message for him. This was probably the only time he actually returned our call. He apologized, and asked if we could come down over the weekend. We agreed, and paid the balance the next day. It took some time for the concrete guy to get all of his questions answered and a plan for the prep. And while we waited, the weather began to change. So it took even longer to get the ground prepped for the delivery of the spa. Jump forward to November. The delivery can finally happen 11/29/22, Tuesday after Thanksgiving. We waited to hear from Mr. Hoy on Monday...no call. Tuesday morning arrives...no call. We went down to the store to find it closed for the day. There is was note on the door that says they will return 11/29/22 at 10 AM. We stopped by Spa Center Inc. the afternoon on the 29th and nobody was there, and nobody answered the phone. We decided to also send an email. Wednesday afternoon we returned to the store to find a new note on the door that says, "We will return tomorrow". So someone had been there, and not returned our calls or email. We went to the store everyday for a week, hoping that someone would show up. Finally, on 12/06/22, Mr. Hoy was in the store when we arrived. After discussing that we were upset that nobody was communicating with us about our purchase and delivery, he became very belligerent and unprofessional with us. He had my wife in tears. We asked for our money back, and he said we would have to sue him. He yelled at us to leave his store. We almost left, when he stopped us. He changed his tone, and said he didn't want to lose us as customers. He then offered a rebate for all the trouble and the delivery within a couple days. We agreed. 12/08/22, (Day of delivery) the day was getting late, and we had not heard from Mr. Hoy, and again, he was not answering our calls, so we went to the store. We discovered that our spa had been damaged by the forklift he was using. A new one had to be ordered. Fast forward to 2/17/2023. There had been numerous unanswered calls, many stops into the store, many unpleasant words spewed at us, but the spa had finally arrived. By 2/24/23, the spa was delivered to our home. However, not everything that was in our purchase agreement showed up with the delivery guys to include the rebate he offered. We tried to resolve this with Spa Center Inc and Mr. Hoy in person and through a "Demand Letter". With out the fulfillment of our purchase agreement, and after seeking legal council, we understand that he has left us no choice but to file with ADA County Small Claims Court, and File a complaint with the AG through the Consumer Protection Act. This has been the WORST purchasing experience of our life!!!!"

"I purchase a hot tub from the Spa and Pool Center in July 2020. The digital display on my controller went out about ten months later. It was under warranty and I contacted the business to have it repaired. I’ve called dozens of times. Rarely can I get anyone to answer and no one responds to my messages. I’ve gone into the store many times and scheduled appointments but no one shows up or bothers to call or talk to me. It’s has now been over a year and a half and I have yet to have this repair done. I’ve had numerous promises right to my face that were broken. This is the absolute worst business and customer service I have ever experienced in my life. John has promised me many times he would be here to fix my problem. He has straight up lied right to my face. DON’T DO BUSINESS WITH THE POOL AND SPA CENTER IN BOISE."

"BUYER BEWARE!! We purchased a brand new hot tub from John (owner). John also sold us an upgraded cover lift which he touted to be, "...as smooth as butter!". The spa arrived and the installers (one was tweaking on something) botched the cover lift install. The cover was torn, the lift was broken, and we ended up with 30 extra holes drilled into the case (see pics). John gave us his word that he would replace the skin and repair the lift. He promised us multiple times. It's been over a year and NADA! He's promised to call us back, NADA! He has simply lied to us over and over. Dozens of calls, Dozens of messages, and multiple shop visits have only resulted in this business screening calls. Visits to the business resulted in empty promises and veiled threats. Several months ago, after a year of trying to get things resolved, I left a bad review and went in the next day to try and work through the situation. I was told that if anyone leaves a bad review they will "ignore" whomever left it. I agreed to take down the review and John said he would make good on his promise the next day. He lied. It's been months. No contact. So, the review is going back up. I have ZERO faith that John ever intended to do the right thing. In the strongest way I know how to say it, AVOID THIS GUY and his business! I understand that the Spa Center will now put me in the "ignore" category but honestly that's where I've been since the day I paid for the tub. Save your sanity and don't patronize this business. "Great customer service! Good quality & prices. I got a hot tub from John and he was so great to work with. His team was prompt & did all the heavy lifting to get the tub installed. I even changed my mind and wanted to exchange the tub for a nicer one and they let me with ease! I was within my exchange period and it was a smooth swap. Thanks Spa center!"
