I didn't know I needed to have my previous primary insurance send a specific letter to the DMBA for them to cover medical costs and the lady helping me was very kind, very patient, and went above and beyond to help me. Her name was Maria Toone and she needs a raise."

"Only reason I use this insurance company is because it is what work offers. They have some of the most difficult processes and archaic policies. Difficult to get clear answers. Pre-authorization is a NIGHTMARE!! I truly wish they would listen to customers and take feedback more seriously."

"Every customer service person I've talked to when I call is very pleasant, polite, and helpful. The people are very nice. Only complaint is dmba stopped covering a prescription that we have been on for years, causing us to pay $300 out of pocket monthly to continue taking it (which is necessary)."

"I would rate at zero stars if possible. We have only had this insurance for 4 months, but it has been a nightmare. Arbitrary rules, multiple different answers as to what is/isn’t covered, confusing instructions on how to bill, “special” numbers providers need to bill that you aren’t told about. We are supposed to find out our own medical codes for procedures and call for approval before each appointment or procedure. Submitting FSA claims or any forms is very archaic. Direct email links don’t exist. You might have luck with carrier pigeons. We are actively looking for different coverage. They apparently know better than my oncologist about what labs I need the same time as telling me they aren’t medical professionals. Godspeed to all dealing with them."

"Hold your healthcare hostage to save a penny. DMBA preauthorization has become unbearable to deal with every claim gets denied at least once before getting approved been dealing with this for over a year now. Probably using an AI to auto deny claims. Last year it cost me going without medicine I needed for over 3 months. Claiming to be better than other plans doesn’t mean anything if I can’t get the care and medicine needed on a consistent basis."
