"Had a terribly unprofessional visit with the Geek Squad at Oak Park location. From the start of the visit, the worker discredited my report of what was going on with my apple watch. Throughout the visit, the worker talked down to me the entire time even though he could not complete a simple diagnostic test on the watch. Durning my twenty minute visit, that did not result in any solutions, the two workers cursed to each other, imitated Indian accents, and made a racial joke. The workers also were hitting each other and joking around while I was sitting at the counter waiting for my test to finish. I am all for having a fun working environment, but this visit was unprofessional, offensive, and a waste of my time. Will never visit this location again and would advise others to do the same if they need any service done on their devices."
"Spent 30 min on the phone getting strung along because they didn't want to tell me how much it would cost to factory reset a PC. They want you to get it done and surprise you with the bill. Called Micro Center afterwords. Spent 20 seconds on the phone and got an estimate right then and there. Highly recommend not using geek squad for repairs."
"I wouldn’t recommend getting geek squad.. it’s not all you think until it happens.. had I’d fixed twice already now the 3rd time it’s having issues, a nice guy name Kurt came out to take a look and said we had to order parts. I was scheduled a week later for it to be fixed with the new part, but unfortunately the part arrived damaged so now I have to wait another two weeks. (Keep in mind I have inspections coming in today and I do not have a working washer and dryer) I’ve called and asked if they could bring me a new one or old one that works just so I could get passed inspections. No help at all so I guess I can’t continuing business because the washer and dryer did not work . Definitely not work it because they’ll let you sink if anything .. my next appointment is may 1st , uhmmm ok .. so now I have to end up waiting two weeks.. so no geek squad won’t fix the problem right away for us which is sad"
"Tried geek squad, after driving all the way to best buy, after standing in line for 20 minutes, I was informed they were not a Samsung service center. Thus was after a phone call with them telling me they had the screen in stock. The guy told me "we get all sorts of Samsung, the call center always sends people here""
"Went with my boyfriend to drop off his phone to get a new screen. They informed us they needed it for 3 days to do testing via Samsung to make sure everything worked properly. They ended up having his phone for 4 days and he had to go in to pick it up. No one called to update us that they were waiting on Samsung due to an issue. To top it off Best Buy call tree system is awful and will take you forever to get where you need to."
