Reviews
"I’ll try to keep this short and sweet. I’ve lived here for a little over 4 months and it has been anything but an enjoyable experience. Many issues that I have stem from SoHo and LuxLiving masquerading as a luxury apartment brand and charging luxury prices, but there is nothing luxurious about this building. I will list my experiences below. 1) There are near constant issues with security in the building. Cars have been broken into in the “secure” parking garage on a regular basis, with the most recent incident involving several electric car chargers getting stolen. Along these lines, security personnel have only recently been deployed and are in the building from 11pm-6am, although I’ve never seen them patrol the building or parking deck. Typically they are stationed by the garage entrance with questionable attentiveness. 2) The amenities are in a near constant need of repair. - The hot tub jets last a whole 2 minutes before auto-shutting off despite a 15 minute timer. - The recently replaced pool cues are already in varying states of disrepair (it took a month of having a single cue before they were replaced). There is also a 50:50 chance that a pool ball will be missing anytime one goes to play. - The bowling alley has not reliably worked for more than 15 minutes since I moved in. - There is no pet spa, and the “dog park” is an alley between the building and parking deck which is loud and smells foul. - The “keg taps” do not work in any capacity, despite the kegs being tapped and connected (most likely skunked or infected with bacteria at this point). - The we-work center is above the lobby, entirely open to the floor below, which is constantly playing loud, terrible music (read: not a quiet place for work or study). 3) Recently, the building has allowed a new commercial tenant in the cafe space in the lobby. This Cafe puts on events in the building which residents are only informed of through a GroupMe, run by the Cafe tenant. The obvious issue with this is that he can remove individuals and posts at his own discretion, removing residents’ ability to know about events happening in the building. Furthermore, the Cafe tenant is rude and unprofessional in his communications with tenants, and has advertised selling tickets to the general public for his events, effectively selling access to SoHo, its amenities and residents, to strangers. I have brought this issue to Management several times and they do not see an issue with this system."
"I was optimistic about new management bringing positive changes. However, many of the same issues from prior management still persist. Break-ins continue in the garage (which as a resident, you would expect to be a secure area for your vehicle), and despite pleas for real security, management insists on relying solely on concierge, who is often absent during the day and at night. We even had more cars in the garage get broken into TODAY. This is the second time this week. When incidences like this happen, there is no communication or attempt to resolve the issue. It’s always just swept under the rug. It's frustrating that you can pay extra for security when reserving amenities for events, but can’t have security as a standard for on-site protection. Safety matters, especially given the high monthly cost of living here. I don't even trust leaving my car in the garage when I’m away. The promise of luxury amenities like the sky pool, golf lounge, dog park, and bark and brew went unfulfilled, making the overall experience far from what was advertised. I could never recommend this place to anyone, as resident safety and satisfaction continue to be neglected."
"All the events here are so amazing! All the themes are always well thought out and organized, plenty activities and amazing people! Shiloh and Cassidy are so sweet and amazing coordinators/hosts. The caramel apple bar was so festive and perfect- favorite so far for sure."
"I've never written a review but felt the need to talk about how great shiloh our event coordinator is. I'm currently at potions night and she went all out as usual. The events her and Cassidy do are honestly one of the biggest reasons why I stay with lux properties. They are kind, care about us like friends and are excellent at their jobs. I don't know what they are paid but they ought to make a lot of money with how good they are."
