"I really enjoyed my unit but I’m giving this three stars because of the management. When I moved in it was as if no one came to check the unit after construction was finished. The cabinets were full of dust and sawdust, there were nails and screws everywhere, there was no hot water, and there were a couple of cosmetic issues that I had to pay for out of my security deposit since I didn’t mention it when I moved in. I had construction directly above me for the first 6 months of living there, I worked from home and the workers were constantly playing loud music. The windows on the backside of the building are original so there’s a big draft due to the gaps between the windows. I also had a bug problem because of that, I put in a maintenance ticket but unfortunately management closed my ticket and didn’t do anything to help. I didn’t end up resigning due to other circumstances but I don’t know if I would have anyway since rent was going to increase 20%. Other than that, the units are beautiful and I love the industrial look with exposed brick. It’s in a great area just down the road from downtown Maplewood."

"Raised rent by almost 20% but when I originally signed I was told it would only go up 5% if I was to resign my lease. Didn’t have a skirt under our door for 11 of the 12 months of our lease because of a “material shortage” but we quickly got one installed after saying we weren’t going to resign our lease. Roommates car got broken into. Property managers solution was that we did not have to pay for a parking spot and were welcome to park on the street instead. They took 500 dollars out of our security deposit for painting and patching but the areas they are claiming we patched, sanded and painted were areas they just never painted over before we moved in. Their argument is they gave us a checklist when we moved in with a very vague “are these areas satisfactory or not yes or no”. We didn’t think twice about seeing patchy areas in an industrial style loft in a historic building that we moved into while it was still under construction and that we were the first residents of. So now we are being charged for their mistakes As soon as we declined to resign our lease they had tours of our unit weekly and would email us a 24 hour notice that most times was not 24 hours in advance"

"Did not live at Wilkinson Lofts, but I scheduled a tour. I arrived at the apartment 10 minutes early to the back of the building..doors were locked. I checked the front of the building..doors were locked. I called and emailed the tour person but no response. I decided to check the back of the building again before leaving, which was about 9 minutes after my tour was scheduled. An Amazon delivery driver asked if I had an access code and I said no I’m just touring. He then said I was about the third person to say that, meaning there were like 3 people who were touring that couldn’t get inside.. the next day I received a response from the tour guide that she was in fact there and took four people on a tour..I hope she wasn’t lying to me but I just got weird vibes of Poor management."
