"This dollar general is above my expectations! I went in, and i was completely shocked. Everyone greeted me with a welcome in, and kindness. Everything was stocked, and clean. I recommend going out of your way to go to this DG."

"Usually shop here because it's close. Yesterday my 12 yr old wanted to get some Halloween stuff, and the employee came up to us to show off something she was stocking...i asked what it was, and instead of telling me, she waved it in my face, at first i didn't know what she wanted, then she said "smell", and waved it in my face more. I immediately started coughing, and wheezing. She apologized, but then left the aisle. I was coughing and wheezing so bad i coughed out the words "ill be outside" to my kid, thinking i would get fresh air. As i passed the cashier on the way out, i was worse, and she mouthed "im sorry" again. That's the last i saw of her while i stood just outside trying desperately for 10-15 minutes to catch my breath. Many customers showed concern on their way in or out, but could not help me. My kid finally came out, saw i was still struggling, and panicked, and walked me to my car, where i leaned against it for a min. 2 other customers came back out, saw me and immediately started seeing if they had an emergency inhaler in their cars! I haven't needed one in years, so i didn't have one. One wonderful lady found one and gave it to me. I used it, and was able to breathe a bit better. But it still took hours before i felt right, and still this morning im not 100%. Perhaps it should be policy to not let the employees wave highly fragranced items in their customers faces to smell. Or at least, have enough employees on site so that they can come check on someone when they have caused a reaction like that. None of that should have happened."

"This Dollar General located at 6638 Nieman in Shawnee is really nice! It's the best one I've seen, kind of like a designer department store. I hear it's called a concept store and is farely new. The new floor looks and feels good to walk on and the layout is super clean. The have lots of nice decorations, it's hard to not grab something while shopping for necessities. Lol. Overall very impressed with this upscale Dollar General! They didnt have much cleaning supplies but we know that stuff hss been sparing these days this year..."
