"Do not go to Suntrup!! They will try to screw you over and put you in a car at any means necessary. I was lied to and tried to be manipulated. I got a call from Mike Jones on Thursday Nov 30, 2023 asking for me to come in and give him a chance to find me the perfect car. I settled on a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe priced at 17,995, which when he called the manager at the Suntrup Kia saying they were willing to part with it for $1100 less than it was priced. He goes over to get the paperwork with his manager and I’m expecting for him to have the car priced for the lesser value. It wasn’t, the price shot up at the original price. I refused and we went back and forth and I asked him why did it go up to the original price. We went back and forth in negotiations, and I ask him, “ if the sales person that he got on the phone with for the car was willing to part with it for the $16,000 price tag, why am I sitting her with you for the $17,000?” Mike states that after it went through detailing (because the car just got there that day and he forgot he originally told me that the car got pulled out of detailing for me to test drive) his manager looked up all the updates that the car went through, they had to price it for the $17,000. I told him that I was really depending on the $16,000. He goes over to his manager and they decrease the interest rate. He states that they didn’t want me to know the new quote for the car note but he proceeds to tell me anyway and that it was $390/month. I get over to financing and the monthly note shot up to $468/month. I walked out. Then, I was bothered with the fact that he stated they didn’t know about the stats, so I called the Suntrup Kia and asked to speak to a salesperson. I asked them, before they order for a car to be shipped there, do they know the specs as well as updates. The salesperson stated “yes”. When you think about it, that commission from selling that car had to be split in multiple ways and everyone’s cut was coming to be very low meaning to screw the buyer in the deal. Mike also stated that he has been selling cars for over 10yrs. My question is where and to whom? Those that have bought from him, hopefully you didn’t get screwed. Update: The fact your response is to put everything onto the customer tells me you still screwing people over and have no problem in doin so just to get a sale. All in all, the fact of the matter is I was lied to. I was told that the price had to go back up because YOUR EMPLOYEES didn’t know the specs on the car before it was shipped over to them. I called Suntrup Kia and was told that the specs were already noted and in the system as to what the car had. Point blank: your employee lied and it’s a reflection on you and who you are. By any means necessary, sale a car."
