"I am sooooooo excited!!!! I’m moving BACK to RavenWood!!! I moved a year ago to try RV life…… just kidding - that was not for me. I’m ready to get my family back into a spacious apartment that’s close to all the amenities that we enjoy ( beaches, restaurants, shopping and nightlife) and back to the serenity of this hidden gem. This small apartment community has amazing beautiful oaks, a great pool and the friendliest and most helpful staff I have ever experienced!!! I can’t wait to go HOME!!"
"I LOVE living here. Coming from someone who has had no luck with apartments, this place is absolutely amazing."
"This place got two stars out of me only because it does have potential. It has a decent amount of space for a two bedroom apartment. There were minor issues I.e my bathroom faucets often spewed black chunks of I don’t know what, I got termites really bad and there was a rodent issue as well. My real problem is the management, not the owners but who they have managing the property. I had a domestic violence situation where the police got involved in June 2023 and according to the lease, I was supposed to be evicted right then and there. No one said anything about it so I finished my lease out in September 2023 without incident. I paid $1000 rent ($100 more than my original rent)for Sept 2023 before I found a place that was a bit cheaper. Unfortunately, that place was unsuitable so I decided to talk to the manager here about my situation because I am a single mom working 3 jobs and I drive Lyft. She went from saying I could get a 3 month lease to “the owners aren’t comfortable with renewing the lease so you have 30 days to vacate.” All in the same day (the end of September but definitely not October yet)that I confided in her about my situation. If it was because I asked about my son’s dad coming back, she told me no and that should have been the end of it because if she did have a conversation w the owners like she said, then me asking about my son’s dad coming back could have been left out of it! Today is the 6th of October and she posted an eviction letter on my door. Why would anyone in their right mind pay for a full month’s rent for a place they’re getting kicked out of? I’ll be out long before the 31st of October so why would I pay for rent, a full month w late fees at that? I need that money to leave right? if my domestic violence situation was such a problem, why am I just now hearing about it once I try to renew the lease? This unit I rented used to belong to the manager’s son, she told me this when I initially rented it. I saw who I believe to be her son today at her house because she lives on site. I’ve paid on time for all but one month and even then I had it all by the 8th of said month. So how am I now facing eviction when I already know I have to be gone anyways? I feel like I’m being taken advantaged of, and at a time where I could really use a break. I just got a diagnosis of scoliosis, just in time to turn 30 in January. I’ve been having to rush moving which in turn is flaring up my back. All while trying to juggle a one year old. I don’t even think the owners knew about my domestic situation until maybe a couple weeks ago at this point. All in all, if the management is changed, I could see myself rating this place higher because I do like the apartment itself. Even with the bumps I experienced living here. Either way, this was a lesson learned because never again will I be in a position where anyone can just take away shelter from me and my baby. Have fun always being the property manager, but never the owner Tammy. But if my suspicions are correct, there are definitely opportunities for you to do some unethical things under the owners’ noses so maybe it pays just well enough to do what I believe you’re doing. I’ve washed my hands of this place, and there is something better for me already in the works, so God is Good! God is Great! No weapon formed against me shall prosper!"
"I lived here about 10 years ago and it was not a great place then...things may have changed but the management was poor, the pool was unkempt and the AC was always on the fritz. We were young and broke with no kid and it worked but we were glad to leave when we did. Thin walls make for bad neighbors. Keep in mind this was a decade ago and it is extremely possible new people run this place and have hired better maintenence people to respond to issues in the units."
"This place has a ton of potential to be a great place to live. All it needs is to be updated and for the remodeling work to be scaled up a notch. Rents at a good affordable price and its nice and quiet here, mostly. Appliances need to be replaced and updated as do most of the bathroom fixtures and sink. On a more positive note, I love the floor plan and the utilization of space. Hailey and Mike are awesome people. I don't regret moving here :)"
