"The office representative made countless mistakes with my application. I was more than patient thinking it would be worth it. They called me to say I was approved they were waiting on paperwork from child support. Office rep called me on the day I was suppose to sign my lease to tell me she made a mistake and I wasn’t approved after I had moved out of my former residence. They claimed I was denied bc of child sport payments I haven’t received in months… She took no accountability for their mishandling or the situation they placed myself and my child in. 0 remorse and an “oh well” attitude."
"My husband and I applied for an apartment in April of 2020. We filled out an application for a three bedroom, which we were told on the website was $582 a month. We were told we were approved, and asked to come in to the office to fill out a leasing agreement. After signing it, she told us the price would be $691 per month for a two bedroom. We completed the entire thing, and were told that we would not be able to move in untill May the 8th. We called back shortly before that date, and were told that wecould not move in untill June. In June, we were told it would not be untill August. Shortly after filling out the application, I received calls from various title loan shops around the coast. I have not applied for such, and told them all such. The lady named Crystal, was professional on the phone, but the lady who took our information and had us sign a leasing agreement for an apartment we never received was rude, when on the phone, and would ignore or not return our calls most of the time. I honestly feel that she just wanted our personal information, or to move someone in under our name. If we were approved, why give us the run around after having us sign a leasing agreement? It seems crooked, and after this experience, I would not rent from any of the United Apartment Group, which manages this property and also did not return my call when I called the main office to clarify my approval. In response to management's reply: no, you did not try to contact us. You waited until one week after I posted this review, and placed a comment on it. No one ever contacted us. We tried to contact you several times. Instead, I contacted the housing authority. If you had any decency, you would not lie about contacting people, or your potential availability. You would also refund the application fee that you charge, when you do not have availability."
"First, our move was delayed for carpet cleaning, but there's always been a plaster stain on the living room carpet and there were dead bugs everywhere the night we were moving in. Then, I was told the air conditioner needed to be run at 65 degrees for 3 days so it could catch up. This isn't normal and ended in me having a $300 electric bill on top of paying for the week I wasn't even allowed to move in because my carpets were "being cleaned". When I moved in I was told if a first floor apt became available I could move to it. Twice just that I know of one has become available and both times we were told we couldn't. I've spoken to others and they were told the same thing and agree it's just a lie to get us in here. I was also told when I moved in new screens would be put on windows and a year and a half later they aren't. Maintenance claims they will come back and fix something and almost never do. My car was broken into and despite being told there are cameras that can see everything when I moved in, there are actually only 4 cameras and none are pointed where my car was parked. A friend of mine had a fire extinguisher sprayed at her car and was told the cameras "weren't working that day" because really there's just no camera pointed toward her apartment. The pool was closed nearly half the summer and the water turns us green. The managers lied 2 years in a row saying they'd open it some Saturdays and never did. Finally, I've been harassed by my downstairs neighbors over my children playing (not during noise ordinance hours) to the point where I am putting forth every effort to move out when my lease is up. I told the office I'd either want a first floor apartment like I was told I could get when I moved in or to leave and there was no response. I'm done with these liars and wouldn't recommend this place unless you just want a place to live and know how to fix stuff yourself and don't care that the managers are going to say whatever lies they can just to get you to move in."
"I'd rate this place a 4 when I initially signed my lease a couple years ago This place gets a 1 for the last 3 months. I'm not sure what happened to it whether management changed or not. Had an issue with my rent (that I paid mind you) and this new woman Was simply indifferent to my grievance. Not the way to treat someone that has never been late for rent ever for the entire duration of my lease"
"Lived here for a year. Ever since a new company bought the apartments this year they have gone from wonderful to disastrous. I would love for Maggie and the old staff to come back. Half the tile in kitchen has come up and they still haven't fixed it. It has been 2 months now. My car was hit in the parking lot. The gates weren't closed for a year. They let the most disrespectful, loud, and trashy residents move in. I suggest no one ever considers moving here even though the rent is extremely cheap."
