"Keep in mind this is a New Management company that has taken over. The previous management obviously left the place a mess knowing someone else is taking over. As far as I am concerned, the maintenance is doing an amazing job. Nick and Matt are doing their best to get things done. They don't get the credit they deserve. If your not happy move out then. Management does their best as well to get what you need done and process. If your considering this place, keep an open mind. Just know its location is key to nearby stores, etc. In a few months, I think this place will become better than it was moving forward"
"The new management company and maintenance crew are excellent! I've lived here for over 3 years and have had nothing but problems getting repairs. The old company was a mess. Some of my repair tickets were years old and never fixed. The new company has fixed more issues in 2 weeks then the other did in 3 years. It seems like they actually care about their tenants and the upkeep of the property. Their Maintenance Supervisor Matt is a great guy. Listens, understands the value of a good tenant, and gets the job done fast and properly. Very happy with them so far."
"Man where do I start? First off, don't fall for their act in the beginning. They really only care about getting you to sign the dotted line... Overpriced apartments. THEY WERE BUILT IN 1990. Realistically these are worth less than $1200 Maintenance takes minimum 2 weeks to come out. After you submit multiple tickets or send multiple emails. Main office never answers the phone either. Are you a normal human with a normal work schedule? Great! You’ll need to take the trash out as a part of your morning routine because they lock it at 3pm. Also fully closed all weekend :) I’m not sure why they did this. I love walking to my car on the weekend and seeing a pile of garbage! What a great view. Not to mention all the fighting that happens around the neighborhood, albeit that is out of their control. Recently they also just completely changed up the parking so now we don’t park in front of our apartment which was the whole reason we actually stayed here. We have an hybrid with no way of charging our car. Gym and pool constantly closed (which is an amenity that you’re paying for) Best part is our rent is most likely going to increase a lot once our lease is over (edited 10/16 to confirm, rent is increasing $105 which is WAY overpricing these run down apartments that are falling apart. To sum it all up: Management seems like they don’t know what they are doing and are winging it every step of the way."
"Pretty run down. Buildings had a lot of damage, parts with wood rot, the siding falling off etc. trash was literally everywhere. My roommate and I toured the property twice, and due to the good location, attempted to apply. There was a $500 off first month promotion if you applied quickly after touring…… we applied and management didn’t reach out until that window was closed. Thank goodness this placed didn’t work out for us. We toured other places and found much nicer facilities for a lower price and better management."
"Over the past couple of years I’ve rented from a couple of different apartment complexes in the Portland area. Recently I rented here at Alvista 23. My experience working with the team at Alvista 23 was fantastic throughout the leasing process. They were very knowledgeable and informative, and responded timely to all my questions. I came to them because they were recommended to me by a friend who had great experiences with them in the past. I’m glad my friend told me about them. The apartment is nice and we absolutely love their new workout room. 5 stars from me!"
