"Rent at your own risk. I would give it a zero stars if I could. Hands down the worst ran apartment complex I’ve ever lived at. We were told when we moved in that water, sewer and trash would be about $100.00 a month since it was just two of us in a 2 bedroom apartment. I think it was only that low the first month or two. Our water, sewer and trash ranged anywhere from $150.00 to $236.00. Add that on top of $1,827.00 a month for rent. In October when our bill was $236.00 they said there was a water leak and everyone affected would get a credit back for the overage. We moved out at the end of February and never received the credit back. Apparently four months was not enough time to correct a bill. Which they also lied about, because they said the water company needed to fix it. My husband called the water company and they said the apartment complex needed to fix it. They also charged us a carpet cleaning fee when the carpets were not even dirty when we moved out. They never told us when we moved in that we would be charge for carpet cleaning when we moved out. Most places do not charge you for something they are mandated to do before a new tenant moves in. We left the apartment spotless. Honestly we feel it was a way to take more money from us. The lady in the office Kelly makes it seem like she cares, but she doesn’t. She’s not the brightest person either. For a moment we considered staying there, because we were tired of looking. When we went to ask about a 1 bedroom that was on the website, she saw that it was an apartment she wanted and said to us “I didn’t know they gave their notice. I have been wanting that apartment” before we got back to our apartment it was removed off the website. Here are some of the issues we dealt with: Windows are not sealed properly, which caused yellow leaks and mold around the windows. During the snow we had ice inside our apartment window. One of the locks on our bedroom window stopped allowing it to shut all the way, their idea of fixing it was to drill out the lock and give us a stick to put in the window. None of the bedroom doors shut properly, so you could see in the other person’s room without opening the door. This was complained about, but never fixed. We had ants and spiders and if you don’t call every week they will only treat them once, and it doesn’t fix the problem. Walls are thin, and you can hear your neighbors. The office doesn’t enforce their own rules such as charcoal grills being used and causing smoke in our apartment. Junk cars being left in the same parking space and no one is forced to remove them or fix them. If you live next to a dumpster you will hear people going through the trash at all hours of the night. The pool is not heated like we were told. It’s ice cold, and the spa is not much better because it’s lukewarm at best. Both were closed for a large portion of our 12 month lease. And don’t expect to ever be able to contact the corporate office to complain about anything, because their phone number is nonexistent. You get offered some community email. It’s such a joke. It’s far from a Luxurious Apartment Experience. The Lakes is a luxury cat litter box at best."
"Viewed apartments online, tried to call to view in person, but no response from office staff, so had to make appointment online. Arrived for appointment and was then told price was different and no ground floor units available. Since the price was higher than what was viewed online, office staff said there was no point in even showing me a unit since it was more money than I thought. ….. RUDENESS!!!! I played the online game, made time in my day, traveled all the way over there, and for office staff to just say it would be waste of their time since the only available apartments were going to be a higher price."
"Correct Review about them doing the parking lot some time ago with new tar . Bad mistakes in letting people know where too park there car... I was told just take your car out of the carport. As I got up in the morning they where towing cars out that where not in the carport. I worn them if you touch my car we well square off. He let me move it. Now the office staff I go too pay rent . One lady that sit in the office room by the front door . Is always giving me different answers she need to know her jod . I keep having too Correct her . Yes pool not heated. Spa was down for a.year rent is sky high"
"OKAY. Let me share what it was like living at The Luxurious lakes apartments. Expect no help from the office once you move in… They will sell you on an okay to the naked eye apartment. Friendly and nice staff, they definitely do their job well… BUT once you move in you’ll have no privacy or help from them. We had an obnoxious amount of 24 hour notices from construction to in-home maintenance request that will interrupt you day to day monthly. The Lakes Apartments decided to redo the parking lots with new tar giving NO instruction where to safely park. They closed off the entire parking lot, making my family have to park all the way at Marshall’s parking lot playing “Frogger” across the highway at 12am when I got off work!!! I would call and call leaving voice mails asking for advice, I would get nothing back. We had a request from the office to clear off our private patio deck for a week while they did some deep cleaning giving us no storage area to put our items. We just brought everything into our dinning room, then two weeks goes by and there was no maintenance or cleaning done. All my neighbors gather complaining about how inconvenient that was. The spa and pool was closed for a WHOLE YEAR…due to maintenance… When you are paying about 2000-2300+ (Depending and including on PGE bill on those numbers) a month… don’t even dare calling yourself luxury apartments. They wanted to come clean our chimney with 24 hour… They left, dirty and ashy boot prints all over our carpet. I mean, come on… Upper management needs to help their staff be more successful here."
