"Tucked away and peaceful, Cedartree Hotel is like a haven of tranquility offering a truly remarkable retreat experience. I recently stayed there, and it was amazing. Here's what stood out to me: When I arrived, the staff were super friendly and welcoming. The lobby had this cool mix of cozy and fancy vibes that caught my eye right away, and it has a koi pond right in the middle. Our room was cozy and stylish, with all the modern stuff you'd expect, such as a little tablet with hotel services (see attached pictures and videos). It also had good views of the surrounding area and the zen garden (we were on the 4th floor). The bathroom had a top-of-the-line Panasonic warm water bidet that had a heated seat too, and the separate English instructions made it easy to use. The shower was big and had a bathtub too. Also, the heater was super quiet and it didn't disturb us at all when we slept. It was like a premium white noise machine that faded in/out smoothly, helping me sleep better. The best part was the onsen baths. They were relaxing and quiet. The whole area, including the showers and changing rooms, was very clean. They even provide ionic hair dryers, which can reduce heat damage compared to normal hair dryers. The onsen have long opening hours, so you have the flexibility to go almost any time you'd want. The hotel's Waterfall restaurant was wonderful too. We had breakfast there and all the dishes we tried tasted great. We're already planning to come back again sometime for dinner. We didn't get to go to the sake bar, but it looks luxurious and we'd love to try it in the future. We also brought a handheld espresso maker and milk to pour latte art, which enhanced the most precious moment of "Life is good"."
"Thank you to all the staff for your professionalism, kindness and hard work. This was an unplanned stay due to loosing our heat from the storm. I would never stay at a hotel so close to home but now, having been forced to stay here, I was able to experience this wonderful hotel. Thank you mother nature for giving me this opportunity. I HIGHLY recommend others to stay here! What a gem. After sitting on my cold toilets at home, imagine my surprise and delight that the toilet seat in my room was heated!!! My husband and I tried everything the hotel offered. The first night we ate at the restaurant. Delicious food cooked to perfection. The waiter was so friendly, professional and attentive. My only suggestion would be to offer more than just IPA's. But the wine was a great alternative so it was just fine that I didn't have a beer. The Onsen was a relaxing experience. The showers before and after with the lovely toiletries was fun to try. I also used the deep soaking tub in my bathroom. Soooo relaxing! Between the Onsen and the soaking tub, I slept GREAT on the comfortable bed. The last night we went to the Sake bar. The hostess was very good at explaining the types of sake and we really enjoyed ourselves and learning and tasting sake. After our large pours, definitely time to slumber away in our comfortable room. The hotel is brand new and absolutely wonderful. It was nice and quiet at night, everything is so nice, clean and well taken care of. Again, thank you to all the staff who were so kind and made us feel so welcome."
"The good folks at Cedartree literally saved our lives over these past few days, when we had to escape our freezing home to take shelter there. Everyone was so lovely and beyond amenable, the rooms were LOVELY and well appointed (the bed was so cozy, and those bathtubs, omg — worth every dollar). Breakfast was absolutely delicious — the French toast made with croissants was the best I’ve ever tasted. There were some tricky bits about our stay (didn’t have any many housekeeping visits as we would have liked, ran out of stuff, etc), but I can’t dock them for any of it. They had a huge influx of guests basically overnight because of the storms, and other than those extremely small things, it was a perfect — and very reparative — stay. It was extremely stressful and scary trying to take care of our toddler during the freezing power losses, and Cedartree was a fun, exciting adventure for our little one and our family. We would recommend this lovely spot to anyone — power outage or not!"
"Very nice place, rooms are simple in a good way. Very spacious feel. Food was really good, toilet seats are heated!!! Staff is amazing really the best I have had,and I stay in hotels several days a month. Koi pond in the lounge, Japanese bath, and Sake bar. I will be staying her monthly for sure . Best hotel in the portland area."
"Our stay at Cedartree Hotel was excellent. The staff were friendly and very attentive to our needs. The food was delicious and the onsen was rejuvenating. It had the Japanese culture and ambiance within the hotel, which gave a unique experience. There was even a gym and beautiful Japanese garden. I will definitely recommend this Hotel. Thank you for such a peaceful stay!"
