Courtyard by Marriott New Orleans Westbank/Gretna

"The room is exactly as pictured. Excellent decor that perfectly reflects Marriott standards. The location is great for our needs and the check in was awesome. Even though the clerk was in training, he did an outstanding job- quick and personable. Check in was a 5 star experience. The 2 stars for service is because for some strange reason, the housekeeping lady decided to knock on my door at 7am and try to enter. Luckily my husband put the security bar on because before we could respond to her knock, she was opening the door. It seemed as if she was TRYING to catch us unaware. This is unacceptable. Even though we did not put the do not disturb on the door, no one should be trying to clean a room I have rented BEFORE check out time of noon."

"The rooms are old and dirty. They obviously are not putting any money back into the hotel. They will charge you for dirty towels (Aren't towels supposed to get dirty)? The internet cable doesn't work and hasn't for nearly a year (they are trying to save money I guess) and the phone signal doesn't work in the hotel. I couldn't make any calls. No warm water in the showers...just ice cold and scolding hot. No water pressure in the shower. Go next door to the Homewood Suites... sooo much nicer in every way. (oh yeah, and the customer service manager was rude... now, as you can see by their response to my remark. I've already contacted BN group, but they aren't known to really care either)."

"Great location for cruise port. Check in was smooth. Like many places they are very clearly short staffed. Posted signs said not enough housekeeping staff. Restaurant/bar also understaffed given a full hotel just a single worker."

"The bed was nice and the shower was nice. The hotel is super close to the highway and apparently people like revving their engines at all hours. Other guests, including a group of 6 kids, were super loud in the hallways back and forth till 3am. They continued to be loud in their room. Called front desk and they said they'd already gotten 3 calls about it...wish they had gone up the first time someone called. I appreciated getting a $40 refund but I still didn't sleep. The breakfast is terrible. Half an hour and $12 for some Bunny bread with brown avocado smeared on it and a cut-in-half hard boiled egg. Hopefully I'll get to have a different taste of New Orleans another time but I'll certainly never stay here again."

"I have really enjoyed staying at this hotel. I have been working in Port Sulphur, LA, since July 2023. During my 2nd rotation, Mr. Larry St. Romain passed on Miss Stephanie Sanchez's information and has helped me with a working rate during my working period in Port Sulphur. Miss Stephanie, Miss Envira, and their co- workers, including the bistro bar and cleaning staff, have all been great! I have recommended this hotel to other workers who are working with me on the project in Port Sulphur, and they are pleased as well. My wife and kids have enjoyed it also when they came down to surprise me during some of my work weeks. If you are looking for a place to stay while visiting the city, and don't want to be near the noise, this is it. Truly appreciated everything here at this hotel."
